Got to be nearing critical levels on both. Not good for this dipshit coach that had 2 weeks to prepare

First emotion is embarrassment.
I’m super pissed that this hire has destroyed everything that Mullen built.
I won’t watch any more of our games except Arkansas and the Egg. And I’m sure are hell not going to anymore. 17 it.

Being a State fan is brutal.

Last year was rage. Should have been a 10-3 team. This year....total apathy.

and we had an opening to put our foot on OM' throat

This is the piece that, long term, pisses me off the most. If Mullen stays, we leave OM in the dust. Instead, the rich get richer (Florida) and we are left being as ****** as OM for the foreseeable future. 17 all of them.

Apathy is at critical stage especially for MSU football but also for college football in general. Rage is at the serious stage for some and for others the top is already blown off.

Never seen SPS and 247 in anger like this

You may not have been aware in 2001-2009 but it was awful. There were times I’d have friends say “sorry about the game” and I’d have no idea we’d even played or been on TV. It was truly truly awful and we are somehow, unbelievably, there again.

I have reached the acceptance portion of my grief.
Mullen let me believe we had a chance in most games.
Games got to be appointment viewing. Have house parties for big games.
JoMo gives me no hope for anything. There are no big games left. **** is left. Absolute ****

I was on the Joe train. “Just give him time” I said. He’ll get it together.
Nope. I’m out. 2 weeks to prepare for one of the worst teams in the country and you **** the bed

I was at the fair all day and didn’t see a play.

It was surreal but I had a great day with family. So apathy.

Can we sue the Athletic Department, because I identify as a fan of a team who wins 66.7% of their games. I feel like we are being defrauded. My feelings have been hurt and I want justice.

Somewhere during the Croom regime, I was invited to speak at a function on campus. A nice lady from the university offered me tickets near of in the boxes. I told her I was appreciative but I would not be back for a game until "That Coach" was gone. She turns to some guy from the front office and said, "You see what I do deal with? This is the answer I get every time!" I left them to discuss it.

Rage or apathy, huh? Rage? Really? Who feels rage over losing football games? Who feels rage toward our football coach? Anyone whose rage can be triggered over such things has serious issues. Rage is something that you feel if someone rapes or kills one of your family members. Rage is not something that Tennessee 20-Mississippi State 10 should ever produce.

I also observe some pretty nasty and very personal shots taken at Cohen and Moorhead. Why do some people make losing a game or games a personal thing and attack these men? I’m not going to argue for or against either of these individuals, but this isn’t personal. That is, unless you really believe that Cohen and/or Moorhead is losing these games on purpose just to piss you off. I don’t know enough about Joe Moorhead or the intricacies involved in coaching football to know if he is as bad at his job as some are so sure of, and I don’t know enough about John Cohen’s day to day management of the athletic department to know whether he is a good AD or a terrible AD as some are now suggesting. All I do know is that both men are being compensated for doing their respective jobs, and that their continued employment is directly dependent upon the level of success or failure of their efforts. I don’t believe for a second that either of these men are behaving in a cavalier manner and just kicking back and chilling while waiting for the next ***-kicking the football team receives from an opponent. I just don’t understand all this talk of things like rage, or anger or apathy when none of them are terms that apply to what people are feeling.
.
The folks who get paid to make the decisions on personnel will make decisions at the appropriate time sometime after the end of the season. There is little doubt that something has to be done. It just seems that all this talk about rage just makes a bad situation worse. Joe Moorhead appears to be struggling mightily as a head coach, and he very well may be in over his head here. There is plenty of evidence to support that statement. That is disturbing, no question. On the other side of the coin, Joe Moorhead, the man, is a very respectable and respectful fellow and human being. You can be critical of the coach without taking personal shots at the man himself. He doesn’t really deserve to be disrespected as a man based upon his successes or failures as a coach. His coaching deserves every criticism that people want to level at him at this point in time and until such time as he either improves or continues along the same line in which case Im sure changes will be made,

5-7 million per year buys consistent 7-8 win plus seasons in the SEC West. It’s expensive as hell just ask AnM. That is all.

For those who live out of state, it is embarrassment because we have to deal with other fans all the time. It will turn to apathy quick, but to be honest MSU has never shown me it has the ability to succeed when it has tough choices to make. Mullen had us at a place in football that we had never been, and instead of doing what it takes to get an experienced coach to keep it going or try to get even better, we go cheap with no head coaching experience. Other than Shoop, our coaching staff looks like something that a juco would have.

Look, I agree with everything you said. I do, however think the rage mentioned in the OP refers to the anger of watching a coach come into a damn good setup and try to mechanically fix was wasn't broken, and ends up destroying the entire machine. That is a waste, and absolutely pisses me off. Not sure if rage is the correct word for it. Nothing personal against Joe (actually, very likeable fellow, and who wasn't or isn't pulling for him to be successful?).

It is both saddening, baffling, and a little maddening to me how an uninformed and uneducated football fan like me could see the wheels getting loose all of last year and few else saw this total meltdown coming. It was 17ing obvious to me that discipline and game planning was not going well and yet the people getting paid millions of dollars who are entrusted to see that this level of regression is never reached. And yet, history is repeating itself.

Again.

What. The 17.

Anyone who is or has invested money and/or support for the program or university is suffering for it, and has a right to the ticked off at such stubbornness.

I wonder if we could get State to set up "cry rooms" on campus.

^^^^This is the correct answer^^^^.

Before last season, I decided I would put all my energy towards a sport (baseball) that we can actually win multiple NC in. Well that went out the door with last year’s Kentucky loss. I was mad/aggravated most of the season last year after that loss.

This year has been the exact opposite. It’s not that I don’t care if we win, it’s that I’m not getting upset when we do. Wait, let me rephrase, I get upset but only for a minute. Yesterday was the 1st State game I’ve watched this year. I’ve mostly moved on from MSU football and am starting to live by what I said I would last year.

I’ll be at the range shooting 5 Stand and skeet with my son every Saturday the rest of the fall unless we’re in a dove field.

Diamond Dawgs vs UAB in Birmingham next Sunday - I’ll be there and then will start counting down the days till 1st pitch.

Hail State!.....Hell Yeah!
