What an absolute embarrassment of a show.
Wrestlers and refs don’t know the rules. The video feed kept going in and out, the announcers did zero homework and barely know what’s going on (I get chael knows wrestler but it’s like he’s not even paying attention) and now an all out brawl.

Absolute embarrassment to the sport

this isn’t it.

The first time that I have been disappointed in the product. The biggest mess up was the JO/Beau match. I get that UWW changed to not allowing grounded to stop a pushout point, and understand that it was communicated to the wrestlers prior to the event, however Beau said his coach asked for clarification and they were still going to call grounded for THIS event. IN any event, both guys got screwed there IMO opinion by the refs/announcers/wrestlers/table not knowing the rules. The brawl was ridiculus too - even though it has gotten a lot of pub for the promotion that cannot be a regular event, Wasnt too pumped by any of the matchups either. Zahid kicked a rumbums butt, but I was confused on how that last sequence was scored only 4 for Zahid. Z initiated the double lg, but the other guy used him momentum and performed the actual throw. Im only a few years into freestyle so some of those exchanges are confusing to me.

Agreed. It should have been JO's points the whole time. But because they weren't awarded initially, it made JO wrestle differently which could have cost him. And then Beau obviously thought he was winning so he was wrestling differently than he would have otherwise. And then to give the points after the final whistle but not add any time back is a bad look.

Their reffing system is designed that way purposely without challenges or in-match reviews so the pace is quicker. Well this is what you get when you do that. I don't think the trade-off is worth it but clearly they do.

I initially thought the same, but after rewatching it, his feet aren't planted enough to change the direction of the action. I think it was the correct call

It felt pretty bush league. How do you have officials and announcers who don't know the rules.

RAF feels like our (amateur wrestling community) best shot at a legit pro option for our athletes.

Someone needs to step up the professionalism and make sure things get squared away. Fast. Before we lose momentum and interest.

I don’t disagree. But I do think this was needed. When it’s going well, you move to progress aggressively. It needed a hiccup.

The guys running this will get it squared away before the next one.

I hope so too. I have watched theee of the shows and this was by far the worst. I get that UFC fighters may draw eyes, but the actual wrestlers are getting pushed to the sidelines and it’s becoming UFC retirement tour… and only a handful of fighters can actually wrestle at the level that this show should be at. CCC and Faber wrestling at 160 is a joke and shows that their main event wrestlers were not taking this seriously. Faber looked pregnant and slow. No one took this show seriously and they better get it fixed least or the league will die.

I don’t want to see another **** show like that. Get some people that know wrestling for the wrestling event please
