I hate that. I think some folks who own seats in prime real estate aren't RU fans, they're investors. Not sure how RU can curtail this if/where it's going on, but a phone call or two from the athletics department requesting that people not do this would be a start. I got a call about five years ago from Geoff Brown (pretty sure that was who it was) requesting that I not sell my tickets to opposing fanbases, which I had never done and never would do. He was making calls to everyone with seats in highly visible positions to keep it all within the RU family, and I was so appreciative that he was making the effort to do that. It was partly prompted by a huge douchebag from Maryland--and I mean, this guy was a MAJOR *******--who got seats three or four rows behind the Rutgers bench and who was yelling so loud that the players couldn't hear Eddie during timeouts in the huddle. I had to settle down my buddy, who I had gone to the game with, because he wanted to fight the guy. And ever since Brown made the phone call there hasn't been an opposing fan, or at least a loud one, in those seats since.
It’s actually pretty exciting up there, you have a view of the whole crowd going crazy. Just being in that building tonight will be nuts. Section 302 it is, for the win!
They could also be corporate-owned seats. A lot of companies have seats that they use for clients or employees.
Investors???? We've been irrelevant for 3 decades in hoops. What kind of "investor" would think that Rutgers basketball tickets are a good investment. That's a joke.
We've been going to Rutgers basketball games since 1983. I think you need to stop with the pointing of fingers non-sense. Not everyone can make every game.... especially midweek.

That's not name dropping, that's fact. And you think that having a marketing guy from RU, who no longer works at RU, is name dropping? Lighten up, man.

STOP you're not even an alumnae. I played a varsity sport for RU and have had season tickets in both football and basketball since the 90's. move on and root for a rutgers win from rara's seats.
It's an honest mistake, but that's why civility is typically a better way to go rather than folks ratcheting things up so quickly. In any case, we've got a game to win tonight---yeeeeehhaaaaaa!!!!!
actually, I am technically an almuna, hubby has had football season tix for 35 years and we have wrestling season tix.
and I know the difference between Geoff Brown and Greg Brown.
(and being an alumna or graduate from RU doesn't give one the market on being a fan)
