No, what's laughable is 20000+ posts and only a handful of likes. That's an indication of someone with a lot to say that no one really cares about or agrees with.
That’d be cute if all majority of my posts weren’t on RR and before “Likes”. And any time some moron starts taking about likes, you know they lack arguments. You just hope you’re “liked.”

FYI it could also mean they have a really old account and most posts were made before the “likes” became a thing.

once you step across the line or get into the game nothing else enters your mind but competition. Too focused to care.

I actually think both are true. We obviously aren’t very good. It probably did shock them how backwards some fans are. Did it have impact on performance? Who knows.

But it certainly changed my perception of our fanbase and makes you question if these are the people you want to be known by. So, it wouldn’t shock me.

Your third sentence is subjective. Just because it doesn't fit your rationale doesn't mean it's backwards. It goes both ways. The players have a right to feel the way they do and people that do not support it have a right to feel the way they do as well.

Do I agree with kneeling? No. But it's their choice as a group and they decided to do so. It would never prevent me from watching them nor lash out at them.

Coaches have a responsibility to teach their players the potential reactions to their actions. It goes without saying. Again, it's quite a stretch to lay full blame on the responses to knelling. It's almost absurd.

Yeah, I guess we did just suck all along the more I think about it lol (Florida game still doesn’t make sense). Still makes you wonder though because I don’t think we were going to be this bad.

It’s not a question about rights. We all have rights. Anyone can do or say anything they want if it’s legal. The question is what is moral and accurate?

Again, you're being subjective. "what is accurate"...wow. So basically, herd mentality can decide accuracy? Unless something can be proven via statistical analysis (of course removing the emotional aspect), then the word accurate is a fallacy of logic. Both sides will argue/ claim they're accurate.

You can potentially make the same argument regarding morale. All argumentation is a combination of emotion and logic. Where the logic comes into play is in applying a set of rules to a premise. It is largely the role of emotion interplaying with experience that sets the premise. Which is a long way of saying that if the premise is wrong (in your case, biased), then all discussion not directed at the premise is pointless.

A caller on KSR alluded to it this morning, but you can’t deny the fact of the timing. Go back to January 5th, we played a pretty good, tough game against Vanderbilt and appeared to possibly have turned the corner. Then we roll into Florida and curb stomp them to the tune of a 20 point victory and all of BBN is feeling great.

Then we find out they knelt. And everything has gone downhill since. Whether you agree or disagree with the act itself, you have to wonder if the backlash from the fans hasn’t caused this whole debacle.
Maybe it has had a big negative effect. But actions have consequences and consequenc. They chose to "have a voice" instead of focusing on their craft.🤷‍♂️

Here’s the straight truth from my perspective. Even if you disagree with BLM, even if you’re a conservative, if you want to attack black players for making a stand on racial equality, you aren’t a good human. Simple as that. End of story.
Stand for.... or Kneel against?

Few, if any are against these young men because of race. It was classless and rude to do it when and where they did. No problem at all seeking equality IF IF IF that is the issue (is it? there are numerous lists of demands floating from various kneelers) - The problem is the very mixed and muddy message and the choice of time to express it.

I wouldn't go into a church during a baby dedication service with pro-abortion signage and demanding they see it my way. Similarly they have chosen what some see as a sacred time, song, remembrance and honoring to try to make a point. It's the wrong time, place and message for the moment. You would have to know to do so that that time, during that time/song knowing what it means to so many (clearly not to them, but to military, vets, law enforcement, people who choose not to dislike America) is an easy to see offense to many.

BTW - doesn't have anything to do with the crappy coaching and crappier play.

I think if you look for excuses you’ll find them . Whether they’re legit or not.

I refuse to believe a majority of UK fans were offended by a team kneeling as an act of solidarity. I don’t buy it. Good opportunity for racists to come out of their woodshed though
Well as an old time Veteran is sure offended me. I would knell with them 1 minute after the anthem or 1 minute before or for that matter most other places. During the National Anthem and raising of our flag is NOT APPROPRIATE!!!!!!!!!!!

You aren't on the right side, so you can't be "virtuous" but you can be disagreed with. That is the privilege of the SJW movement. They define the rules.

No one mentioned herd mentality or a majority dictating morality. That’s a straw man argument. And ironically the rest of your argument lacks any objectivity, which you’d think it wouldn’t given your pointing to subjectivity.

Now, let’s get objective. (Most) African Americans are descendants of slaves. African Americans couldn’t enjoy the same rights as you until the 60’s. Many African Americans were incarcerated and targets of drug laws, and Institutional racism, while admittedly less engrained today, has prevented equal opportunity.

The majority of our team is black. Our former president was embraced by white nationalists. Trump supporters invaded the capitol. Innocent people did die because of police officers.

And if you can’t understand why a black player would kneel you either aren’t paying attention, disagree with solidarity or your political programming is simply in auto drive

Small segment? I'd wager better than 90% of our fan base is against disrespecting our flag for a fake "movement".
What do you mean by it is a fake "movement?" I'm honestly trying to understand your point about that - which I assume is separate from disagreeing with kneeling.

The simple thing I can’t get my head around is why in an opportunity to show these guys you care... or that we have a good fanbase... is that you squander the opportunity by burning jerseys and making claims you’ll never watch again. It’s really simple.

Well, not saying the OP is right. But kneeling right before the Florida game hadn't yet given the team a chance to experience any backlash. It started after that game. So, while they beat UF, they hadn't felt any heat from the fans over it at that point.
If they didn’t expect any backlash they were naive and stupid . I really hope Cal pointed out what the repercussions would be .

I didn't realize truth has a perspective?

Let me put something out there why I see both sides. I was watching the US Womens team in soccer the other night and the team all stood for the Colombian National Anthem but took a knee for the US National Anthem. Colombia had slavery until 1851. Colombia has a race problem. Why would our players stand for their anthem but not ours if it is about ending systemic racism? Does it only matter in the US and screw the world? Are you a good person if you care about racism in the US but nowhere else?

If you don't want to stand for the National Anthem, I 100% support that right. But it is intellectually lazy to think there can be no opposing position other than racism.

I would say No, I haven't missed a shot this year either. That makes it sound like the players are losing to punish the pushback of kneeling..

Alright, I’m not sure if the women’s soccer team is well versed in Colombian history, but that’s noted.

I really only see two explanations for outrage over kneeling. 1) You disagree with the message. 2) You believe the only possible action during the anthem is to stand, despite it merely being a custom, and that any other action is so outrageous that it’s enraging.

And I think I both positions are ridiculous

[laughing][laughing] If they're that fragile then they shouldn't kneel...they may break a knee cap.

This war against systemic racism is fake. Its nothing more than a political ploy to get people fired up during an election, and we fell for it hard core. Look at the activity of BLM over the last 5 years. There was a spike in 2016, then next to nothing in 17, 18, and 19, and now another massive spike in 2020. So were there no bad events to get upset about in the non election years?

It's a political tool that does 2 things: makes people vote who otherwise may not, and ensures nothing will ever change. Afterall people who deeply believe the system will not allow them to succeed will understandably never really try. I promise you the gov't can't and doesn't even want to do anything of real value.

Don't forget to vote though...

The proof will be when nothing changes

I’d like to see how many fans agree (or don’t have a problem) with the kneeling, and also think it had 0 to do with the poor play since. Bet it’s very low.
I didn’t have an issue with the kneeling. I also wasn’t thinking this team was going to start lighting the world on fire after beating Florida. At this point, the Florida game was an outlier and the team reverted back to its normal self. Will it be used an excuse at the end of the season? Maybe, but this team just isn’t that great and I doubt the results look much different if they didn’t kneel at Florida.

Also quite puzzling, they can’t grasp why these kids don’t agree with their opinion of the flag/anthem and what it means all while not even trying to understand the kids’ point of view.

What happened previously was awful and should never be allowed again. It is not the way of the world today and we need to figure out a way to move forward instead of desperately holding on to a dark past. Until we do that, nothing will ever improve for anyone.

Also, white nationalists supporting trump does not in any way prove trump or the vast majority of his supporters are racists. There are white nationalists who support democrats too. Heck, Robert Byrd was a celebrated member of the democratic party for decades and Biden idolized him. The man was in the Klan... Think about that for a second.

Which part lacks objectivity? Be specific please. Politically programmed? Are you serious? I'm not the one that sounds like an agenda-driven news media cliff note. Your emotions are definitely overriding your logic.

Additionally, you're switching gears to me not understanding why they knelled. I understand. They can if they want to. Like I said before, it will not stop me from watching or it will not cause me to lash out.
