Whatever happened to enjoying your summer vacation? Why rush into school again?

You know, swimming, cooking out, riding motorcycles, playing on the lake, frog gigging.

People need to slow down and enjoy life.

When people complain about our players leaving early, testing the waters, and generally being laser-focused on a professional career, they’d do well to remember what you just said, particularly how these kids don’t get to do those things.

We only want the best players in the country for Kentucky basketball, and being the best means making huge sacrifices. It means you don’t get to relax and enjoy growing up. The daily “grind” these players commit to isn’t natural or sustainable as a lifestyle for its own merits. It’s objective-driven. That’s why we should support their professional decisions 100%, because they have a ton riding on it. It’s not just the sweat investment, it’s opportunity cost - the lives they didn’t get to have because they chose to chase a dream instead. We’re lucky that they take us with them for a part of that ride.

Well said. Respect the grind.

Welcome...have to say the lady with EJ is smoking
Yeah she is beautiful, when black girls are pretty they are usually very pretty!! I date all colors and had 2 African American girlfriends in my day and they were 2 of the best gals I have ever dated.

It takes more than talent to play at UK and yes, in the NBA. These guys have to work their tails off. Probably something that gets lost on many of us during the season and in the heat of battle.

That's for normal people.. Ones that have desires to win titles or make it to the NBA have more important things to do beside take summer breaks..

Quickley seems like a really good, smart kid. I would guess he’s in line to lose the most minutes with our late roster additions, but i think he has the mental makeup to handle it.
