i don't know what to make of the fact that he is committing while Zion is on campus.

But who cares. We are going to have our PG.

Zion will commit as well.

Do people really think Zion is just gonna announce with no hype or fanfare? He's not that type. His commitment will be on national tv to grab as much attention as possible. That ain't gonna happen while he's on UK's campus.

Agreed. He'll finish up his visits and weigh things out. Might even wait until Spring.

He's a different breed.

Slow your roll. Quickley just wrapped up his visit with KU. So, this could play out differently than folks expect. I don't anticipate a surprise, but be on guard so the sky isn't falling.

Just tell me if Self came out of the house with or without his toupe on? If off, UK has a chance...

Bad news for Kansas fans..

Why? Everyone knew he's been a Wildcat for a year now. Even with the couple ridiculous crystal ball picks in the last couple days majority of KU insiders and fans felt Quickley was 99.9% to UK.

The one that will hurt will be when Devon Dotson commits to Florida in the next week or 2.

Fingers crossed we get him.

Would be very diappointing to lose this guy, when he has been considered a "lock" for a long time for us.

We would survive, but it would hurt a bit, especially initially.

We had Kansas fans the other day trying to say that Kansas made some big push for Quickley.

Please, do get your hopes up.

I believe he has a visit somewhere else (maybe Duke) next weekend. Different breed or not, dude ain't publicly committing to UK this weekend. Would be amazing, but use logic here.

He's hyped as hell. ESPN is gonna beg to air his announcement. If he wants to pick UK, I'm sure Cal would help him get some air time if he wants it.

Quickley picking UK will have a negative impact for you guys on Grimes. Grimes is wanting to be a combo guard and start at the 1 or 2 in college. With Green, Alexander, and Quickley UK can't pitch one of the starting guard spots to him while KU is pitching the combo guard spot and Marquette is pitching the starting PG spot.

Let's hope it's still Kentucky as it has been expected to be for a long time during this kid's recruitment. Like i said, no matter if the kid felt slighted or whatever, when it's time to sign, it's Cal and Kentucky. You can go pro anywhere, but you do it more often at Kentucky with Cal. You just don't risk your future. This kid is pretty close to Zion and as we all know, it can only help speed up Zion's announcement date. The funny thing is, a verbal from a talent like this isn't done just to help with Zion. It is not like this kid is a 4 star talent. We are talking top 25 ish talent with this dude. He is another kid you can watch play and think Cal type of player. Let's hope it's Kentucky and it happens as soon as possible.

Depends on when Grimes announces. I don't know if you've seen much Kentucky basketball over the last 8 years, but a lot of guys have been leaving early. It's kind of our thing now. I don't assume that both Green and Alexander will both be back next year. If Grimes waits till spring, he may see he's got a good chance at a starting spot after all.

Unless they're Wall, Knight, or Fox level you've had more small guard returns for their sophomores and junior years than not. Bledsoe I believe is the only none top 10 "small guard" to go pro after their freshman year.
