Every coordinator ends up in one of two ways
1) Fired
2) Becomes a head coach

Dana was a great OC. Does that take away from the fact that he is a mediocre HC? No. Both things can and do coexist.

Bud Foster would have likely been a for **** HC. Still a great DC.

Even if Vic is average, he is far better that what we have right now.

That's probably the norm we probably have had a comparably high number of assistants that served multiple head coaches over decades. A lot that leave and come back too. At least we used to.
