A driver I talked to in San Fran had bad credit. He had leased his Prius from Toyota (which he said many drivers had done) but when he told me his lease payment, it was so high I don't know how he makes any money driving for Uber. The only entities profiting were Toyota and Uber, not this driver.

I have a 4.9 I think last I checked. I never tip. I am actually a big tipper, but never tip Uber because it defeats the purpose of the easy mobile transaction.
Now if a driver were loading my luggage and etc. I def would tip them.

You know even when I was in my twenties, I couldn't stay up to 3 or 4 am
I know this is sneaky, but a ton of people ask why I'm doing it, and when I told them I had an infant at home and I did that along with some other side jobs to support him, it got me a bunch of tips. I know, a little underhanded, but I wasn't lying.
Tipping is a scourge on the planet. You East Coasters are ridiculous.
Do your damn job and get a paycheck as a reward, just like everyone else. You do it as well as you possibly can because you have pride and some G-D self respect.
What's next? Tipping the guy at Subway because he gave you *just* the right amount of mayo?
