Who do you think/hope is on Cohen's shortlist for basketball coach replacements? I mean.... I'm all 17'd up about this. We recruit great, but I swear were making the players worse. I'm scared to fire him bc we may get crap kids again. Ahhh what do we do? Why do we suck? What if we make another bad hire? I hate my life. Lol

Well, it ain't like the ones we're getting now are setting the world on fire. Just hire Kermit Davis and be done with it. We'd be a lot better off if we'd done that when we fired Stans, or when we fired Ray.

Howland isn’t getting let go this year or next year, so this talk is really nonsense. If we fired Ben Howland we’d never be able to hire another coach worth a damn on a national level.

And of course we should have hired Kermit Davis instead of Rick Ray. That would have made too much sense, but the woman who led our AD and is now in Gainesville didn’t see it that way.

Kermit had an NCAA blemish on his record and Loafers had apparently read all of the Doug Gottleib articles he could handle about how corrupt we were at the time.

Howland is getting another season. Y'all can forget about potential replacements this season...maybe even next. Unless some major shakeup happenes, our weaknesses this season will continue to be weaknesses next season. Howlands pedigree has all but guaranteed him another year despite his issues. I hate being right in this case, but there is hope he can somehow catch lightning in a bottle and recruit his way out of this mess....he sure ain't going to coach his way out. My only basketball post of the night, I promise.

I’ve seen the Island of Mississippi State Basketball Coaching Candidates in years past. It’s not something I want to revisit.
