Question for mods...

hey i got banned again on the other site. however, similar to before they didn't inform what the ban was for. it's very annoying not knowing why you get banned, how do i know what i did wrong? i can't access the site now either (šŸ˜‰), but i would like to know for the future what the issue was.

how do i get them to tell me why i was banned? they only ever ghost me. can y'all ask them and tell me? or should i try the attention route?

They're likely NOT going to tell you other than maybe saying "you violated their policy". Most times a big company/organization just won't be more specific than that. I don't know but I think they're afraid of opening themselves up to a messy dialog or possibly even lawsuits. So annoying but you're at their mercy.

you're probably right. it's only like a three day ban anyway. i just wanted to know what i did wrong. yes, "rules violation" was the generic autogenerated reason. it was on the open scrolls, so i don't know what it was.

yes. but it was there the entire day and nobody said anything. i post similar stuff though daily over there. they cut me off from doing that here for the most part. i don't post the war vids and stuff here anymore.

there is a warning on the forum. i doubt that is it. i honestly have no clue. i didn't post anything crazier there than i have for the past 6 months or whatever. it seems very arbitrary. especially when there is no reason given, i just have to assume that i upset someone this morning. sorry for your bad day @theupsetmod.

I was banned by @sklarbodds last week for opining on Trannies in girls sports. Thatā€™s not allowed, and Iā€™ll NOT discuss it here.

There are probably a dozen threads on page one here that delve deeply into politics, religion, media, trannies, etc etc. happens daily. Iā€™ve attempted to get them to delineate exactly WHICH ā€˜politicalā€™ topics theyā€™ll allow discussion on vs. otherwise, and canā€™t get any kind of straight answer.

Some clarification would be dandy.

Which is funny because I recall that race was the limiting factor. I see the troon affect(effect?) is hitting the "rules"

I got suspended for calling HTO a cr$t@n once, many moons ago.

They give you no reason. In my case they said I was calling names. It was a one off response to a long post mocking his behaviour.

Sometimes those you mock have deep roots.

I've had a lot of troubles recently as well, but I never had trouble at all on this site going back to Sep 14, 2013 when I joined. Nearly 9.5 years ago..

All of a sudden, I'm getting into all sorts of issues.

I am getting communicated with using the conversations box in the upper right next to the alerts, but I haven't been arguing or engaging in any dialog about it.

As a result, I haven't had the urge to post here in quite some time.

I have been on the other site, but it's clear we aren't welcomed there either, as they removed the Husker Board from that site. I think my $1 subscription is up in July sometime. I won't renew it.

Heck, it's their platform I guess and they figure they aren't making anything from most of us anyway, so I sort of get it, but it sucks to see what has happened to what was a good community.

On the plus side, you can get most of their info right off youtube these days.. if you value what they are saying.

I never watch the content created from the publishers on this site.

I think mgmt just wants the freeloaders gone.. not sure I would blame the mods.. I think it's coming from higher up.

There are other message boards out there to join.

I was put on the naughty list here for a post (first time ever!!) and was able to ask what I specifically did was wrong and was told why, and we had a friendly conversation about this. Thank you to the Mods here for going the extra mile.

My free trial lasts until November at on3, but it's mostly dead over there anyway. There are a couple of people who post on the new tOS over there, but it's generally lame. We are lacking good posters over there. @HUSKERinLA was good in 2021 over here, but I haven't seen the same effort over there. @scopeandtime was funny over here, but he doesn't post there, and we don't have anyone over there that can pick up his slack. @lolwat was pretty good here for a while, but again another lost poster, and there hasn't been anyone who has replaced him over on on3.

@RatTailGuy, @JOHNNY N, @TampaBaySkers, @jbskers, @steinek11, @NikkiSixx, @HBK4Iife, @resdog851, @Bobfather, @williamsonframe, and others have lacked a presence on on3. A couple of these post sometimes.

I try to bring topics and videos for people to engage with over there, but I don't think they get it. My ban is up over there, I was just giving them a chance to do something entertaining for once. There just hasn't been anything to engage with over there. Those guys aren't very good at internetting.

Thats how it should be. They should send a message saying, hey you were banned for this, please don't do it again. That seems like it's way too much to ask for from the other site however.

Forums that are capable of opining conservative values are being slowly and systematically eradicated. This was a small and unimportant one in comparison to some, but nonetheless here we are.

The problem is anonymity. Iā€™d pay money without putting a target on my head, if I couldā€¦

I try the Open Scrolls over there Jae. It's just not the same. I think we all got along pretty well over here even when we didn't agree with each other. We could **** with each other and not to many people got butthurt. I'm actually coming back here quite a bit now. It kind of sucks over there on the football board too. Ever since the split has happened it seems like both boards have gone to ****. Which really make me sad.

Im starting to get the feeling the mods are like city inspectors. Washed up guys who couldnā€™t hack it or got picked on a lot in high school. So they got into ā€œauthorityā€ roles to really stick it the guys who hurt their little feelings.
