It's been in the news that several states, including Oklahoma, are suing opioid manufacturers. I was wondering what legal grounds they are using? What keeps states from suing alcohol or firearms manufacturers - for instance? Just feels like a slippery slope and I fail to fully understand how you can hold a manufacturers liable for activity by subscribers and consumers.

I'll take my answer off the air.
