Question for Bell Island Tailgaters

Has the university began any work over there yet? Is the area still pretty much open? I know they have probably gotten the brick walkways finished in between McCool, Union, and Perry finished. Have they started tearing up the street in front of the State Fountian Bakery yet?

As a student, i see this are daily...and no work has begun on bell island as of yet..
the brickway between the cafeteria and mccool down to the union is finished with brickwork and concrete, a lot of the plants are being planted, and a little electrical work still to be done.
Haven't heard any timeline on the beginning of the bell island transformation as of yet, the arches still have to be built to finish the first part i believe.

Have they started tearing up the street in front of the State Fountian Bakery yet?

The "2008 Fan Guide" that was sent out with the season tickets has this street (Lee Blvd) on there as normal, with the notation that it will close 3 hours prior to game time which is the same as it's been in years past.

Is not scheduled to begin before the end of football season. You are safe to tailgate there this year.
