Could the reason be why stokes hasn’t committed to Kansas yet because Self is retiring? Somebody texted Matt today on KSR saying that he has inside intel. You can’t really trust what people like that say, but thought that could be a legitimate alternate reason why Stokes hasn’t committed and is willing to visit Lexington again.

Idk about his defense. However, I’ve never been real high on him. He’s a great player, for sure. Is he a transcendent talent?! Nope, he sure is not. Like I said the other day, there’s at least 20 freshmen in college currently that are better than this guy. Maybe more.
This! It’s quite clear he doesn’t wanna come here. He wants to go to KU. It’s beyond obvious to me.
Come on man. 20 better than the number 1 player? This isn’t a year where there’s a competition to be number one. He’s clear cut the number one in his class for a reason.
I’m just not sure where people get the bad defense claims and lazy claims. Stokes most definitely is a transcendent talent.

He’s absolutely not a transcendent talent. That’s absurd. There’s tons of 6-8ish wings in the NBA with a similar game. Yes, there’s 20 freshmen as good as or better than him.
We are talking college ball. And alright I can’t fight your opinion but I strongly disagree.
can I ask you who in his class is a transcendent player? Stokes will be the best player in college basketball next year.
And as far as players with a similar game… I can shoot a fadeaway that’s similar to Michael Jordan. It’s not the same but it’s similar.

Idk there may only be 10-15, not 20. However, those 10 and Peat are all better than Stokes. I’m just not super impressed with Stokes and never have been honestly.
Stokes is better than Boozer?! Peterson?! Meh I don’t see it. At all.
Well that’s your opinion and can’t say you’re wrong because it’s yet to be seen. But if you’re serious and truly believe what you’re saying I think he will change your mind. Just hope he’s at UK doing that and not another school.

Yea he’s better imo. I see it. Peterson barely plays so yea he’s most definitely better than him. Boozer is a big. Good player but limited. Stokes can guard boozer or Peterson. Peterson can’t guard boozer and boozer can’t guard Peterson.
Stokes is a forward with elite ball handling and pretty good shooter.
I think this is more $ than love. No way we spent 22 million and lost every recruit and were out spent. I’d bet 10-15 teams had a higher budget. Just my opinion

I’m saying he’s not as good as the elite freshmen in college this year. The two classes are worlds apart.
