I have xfinity in Central Jersey. Could someone let me know how I can get Peacock for Saturday's game? Thanks.

It is pretty easy to sign up for Peacock either through their website or your TV, or as part of a bundle.

However, before doing that, log onto your account through the Xfinity website and click on the "Rewards" link which is on the top left of the page under "Your Services". If you have the right level of service and have been a customer for long enough, you may be eligible for free Peacock Premium. That is what I have at the moment.

another option I found (don't have Xfinity) is thru CouponCabin.... online shopping extension like Rakuten. 50% off for the year plus $6 credit to my account. So I paid $34 for the $80 annual plan. Split it with my son so we can catch all the BBall games and it will carry thru half of next year's football season. So actually $17 bucks for the full year lol.

Saturday's game will be broadcast on Peacock, NBC's streaming platform. Fans will need to purchase a Peacock subscription to watch the game, which is available starting at $7.99 per month. For more information on Big Ten football on Peacock and to purchase a subscription, visit PeacockTV.com. Peacock offers a student rate of $1.99/month and an military rate of $2.99/month.

The game will stream exclusively on Peacock. Peacock, NBCUniversal's direct-to-consumer streaming service, features the most live sports of any SVOD service in the United States. To celebrate the historic partnership with the Big Ten, NBCUniversal is offering a student discount for a 12-month plan at $1.99 per month. Click here for more information on Peacock and to subscribe.

That’s interesting. How long have you been a customer? This may work for me too. I’ll be at the game, but may still get Peacock for all the sports on it now. Also never saw Homicide: Life on the Street.

Thanks for posting this.

I'm a "Platinum" tier and, when I tried to select the Peacock reward, it told me that it "was not available at this time." I'm not sure if that means that it's not available for me as a "Platinum" member, or if the Peacock reward is just not available any more. But, if anyone else is having this problem, please let me know.

At least a dozen years- as long as we have been in this house.

I am Platinum tier as well (no idea what the qualifications were). I have had this since August 2024 when the Premier League restarted.

I have free Peacock as at the Diamond Xfinity level. Always forget to check the rewards. My wife and daughter got two free tickets to Wicked this upcoming weekend through Fandango.

The exact same thing happened to me. I'm also a Platinum member and got a message that Peacock is not available to me through the rewards program.

Do you need Peacock Premium (subscription) for the football and basketball games or just Peacock?
I didn't even think there was a level below Peacock Premium. For signing up the only options I have are Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus.

I'd guess if there's just Peacock that would be for free programming they might be giving to sample like pilots or other old programs. I don't think it would be for any new shows, movies or sports.

I'm a YouTubeTV subscriber so it's from that angle I mention this. If you're a Comcast subscriber you might get some benefit.

I'll just get it for the month, Anyone have any recommendations of shows on Peacock? Last year I just watched the game and that was it. Maybe some movies on it that are worth watching that we haven't seen.

“Premium” affords you the privilege of having to watch commercials

I ditched Xfinity cable television for YouTubeTV. We kept internet with Xfinity and they offer Peacock for free. We have an Amazon Firestick which is where all our apps are so we didn't have to use the free Xfinity box they gave us. Of course with T-Mobile we also get Hulu, Apple TV and Netflix with our plan as well.

In southwest Florida (perhaps nationally) the B1G Network is carrying the women’s hoops game, Kansas at Iowa, instead of Rutgers v. Merrimack. Someone should tell the B1G Network that Caitlyn Clark is gone, and that Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are at Rutgers.

NBC pays the B1G for game content. Peacock games are part of that.

Easiest way to get it is to realize you forgot to cancel it the last time RU Football had a game there. I was happy to see Basketball was on there last night.
I used to have that happen at times but have gotten better about it. For subs that I don't plan to hold onto long term, I set a reminder for a little down the line in my calendar on my phone right when I sign up and have it repeat to make to make sure I don't miss it. Then remove it from the calendar after I cancel. For just about all subs you can cancel early but your membership will still be valid for the duration you signed up for.

What's nice about the student rate is the promo code received for verifying your child's college enrollment is not tied to their edu email address. I submitted my daughter's info (edu email, name, DOB) on Peacock's site and after clicking submit, up popped the promo code which then I copy/paste into my account applying for a normal subscription at full price, but after pasting the promo code, my rate changed to $1.99/month for up to 1 year.

They also offer a discount to veterans. I'm sorry I don't remember exactly how to apply, but I had to get a "code" to submit with application. After receiving my code, they "verified" my veterans status almost instantly and started charging my credit card $2.99/mo.

Wasn't planning on keeping it beyond the month but that's nice deal so it'll go on the pile with all the other streaming services we don't use enough.

Finished off the currently released episodes of the Jackal, good show.

Don't like the navigation/bugs of Peacock compared to other services. We use closed captioning while watching shows and movies and if you pause a show for any length of time you have to kind of set it up again. They disappear or they move location from the center of the screen to other places. A lengthy pause can also take you out of the show and back to the menu and you have to navigate back in. Also hate the graphical ads that immediately come on in a pause. Sometimes you pause a show/movie to see something and they put an ad up right away so you can't see what you were looking for.
