Question About 4A bracket…

Does anybody know if they’ve switched to 6 teams with the top 2 seeds getting byes. Sports plug 757 is reporting this but i never heard this change

It depends on the region. Some do it some don't. Ask you AD.

Yeah 4A is terrible honestly. Only 9 teams and 4 of them are 4 of the worst teams in the state.

I still don’t see anyone in 4A stopping a Phoebus running clock though.

C * The top 6 teams from Catoctin and Dulles Districts will compete*
. PowerPoints will be used to select and seed the
5th and 6th seeds, with 2 teams guaranteed from each district and the final two teams representing either district.
1. The District Champion of each district will earn the 1 or 2 seed, and a BYE through the
first round of the Region tournament.
The 1 seed will be determined by the team with the higher power points.
2. The District Runner Up of each district will earn the 3 or 4 seed, the 3 hosting the 6 seed
and the 4 hosting the 5 seed.
3. The 5-6 seeds will be determined on power points. Seeding will be based solely on
power points. The 1 seed will play the winner of the 4 v 5 game, and the 2 seed will play
the winner of the 3 v 6 game in the Region semifinals.

It’s not that crazy, just a decision to be totally district-focused. Win your district? You’re top 2. Finish second in your district? You’re 3 or 4.

Then they make sure the top two remaining point-getters still make the field at 5 or 6. I kinda like it.
