Question about 2015 gameday traffic

I park in LOT 17, which is behind the old gym. I have always gotten to that parking lot by entering campus by the Highway Patrol station, then taking a left and going down engineering row, which is called Hardy Street. I take a right just past the library and enter the back way. For years, I would come onto campus by the Vet school, but traffic was a gridlock.

Someone who I do NOT consider a reliable source told me that Hardy Street will be closed this year due to reconstruction. Can someone confirm or deny this? If true, traffic will be yet another nightmare this year.

I can't confirm or deny but there is a road that runs behind Bowen hall that you could use if Hardy street was closed. You would take a left right after McKee hall to take this road. It wouldn't make much sense to close hardy though. Hopefully that is not true.

Who did you piss off to get put in Lot F!#% ???

Can't believe the blue hairs aren't pitching a fit over us even having a parking lot called that.

I think they are about to close engineering row and make it walking only at least that's what my CE professor told me. You could turn left in between McKee and BK and go around and end up at the same intersection by the health center.

Bardwell runs to Old Mayhew, you can get to 82 from that.

Not WILL be, but IS. It is blocked as of last week with temporary barriers at the crosswalk, but new permanent striping and curbing has been added curving traffic to that big gravel commuter student lot behind the Industrial Education (the twin towers) building.

I know I'm not helping much but out of curiosity, if you're entering camping via Hwy 82 and presumably leaving the same way, is there something keeping you hung up on lot 17? I think that there are quite a few lots on the north side of the stadium that would be much more convenient for you than going all the way across campus to lot 17.

If you take that McKee route, be prepared to have a 300+ pound event employee sit (too lazy to get out of her chair) and have you practically injure yourself getting past her. Other than that, it's a good way to enter.
