This kid just put Rutgers is in his top 6. he is a great player with a true vision of the court. B1G smarts. Shoot him a tweet if you want but just keep it simple and basic. If we got this player and he added ten pounds, we would have a true steal. Class of 2016 kid. 6 4 point guard. He would be big ten style PG.

I like the rythem the kid plays with. He also has a little flare under fire. Actually has more basketball skill than Parker at this point. Would love this kid to be on our team.

agreed. i think he just needs to work on his left to be a more complete player. looks like he relies 100% on his right hand when finishing at the rim. he has the potential to be very successful at the college level.

Rutgers has a good record recruiting against Cincy and Providence? I don't remember it that way.

Wah wah....what's the point of your post? Rutgers of course does not have a good track record there. But Eddie is on a roll, we are in the B1G, now, so clearly, as the poster said, "we have a shot."

25-year Rutgers season ticket buying is a sobering experience. Rutgers does not recruit like Cincy and Providence. Get over it. Drink decaf, please. The original note said a "definite shot". No one would be happier than me if this recruit is a Big Ten caliber player and we land him.

Of course we have a definite shot. We are the only high major program on that list. This is the future. He may want to play for an established program at a non P5 school, or he may want to play for a team trying to build in a top 2 conference. To insinuate that we don't have a shot, in the current landscape, is silly.

We may have lost a lot of battles to Providence, but we were in the same league for all of them. We aren't anymore. Not by a sight.

Last year ... #29 Providence is 22-12, #44 Cincy is 23-11, #175 Rutgers 10-22. You believe P5 school is enough to overcome this?

I am an optimist and a realist. Players look at records. They look at who made it to the ncaa. We're not #1 contender because we are in the big ten. I don't think so. I could be wrong though.

No doubt. He has another year of HS to use his right.

Has a more diversified skill set than Parker for sure.

Totally agree. But a lot of players also look at playing time. My only quibble was the insinuation that we don't have a shot. We don't have a shot if one of the real top programs comes calling. If its Providence and Cinci, I refuse to acknowledge that we are out of it, just because of their successes. We have something they don't have (Top 2 conference and maybe playing time) and they have something we don't have (an established program). Recruits could definitely pick either.

I also agree that its probably unrealistic to think we are the #1 contender.

No doubt. We definitely do have a shot. How we go against prov and cinci will be a true task. I looked at both their records and they are far better than ours. I think the record/chances at tourny wins. He is big on academics, and rutgers wins there. Corey Sanders will be here for 2-4 years and QJJ has been playing primarily pg. Still though, QJ is a heady player that I would love to have behind Cs, or even compete with corey sanders. Sanders is more athletic, QJJ might play with a higher IQ/has a good jumper right now.

Pros and Cons to both. We definitely have a chance. Anyone that thinks we don't is thinking incorrectly.
