In 4 days going from a top 4 to top 2 is definitely something. Probably could’ve just skipped the top 4 but what do I know!

Critical recruit for Calipari and UK. Based on what his dad said after visit, it would seem to be UK.

But I believe his dad and Missouri coach have a very close relationship.. and his dad said since he will only be 16 when starting college, the city and coaching staff "looking after him" is very important.

I highly doubt Cal is the right coach, then, because anytime a player forms a camp around him Cal is totally hands off. Cal is about the draft and not upsetting anyone that could get in the way of that.

This needs to be Kentucky.

Cal can't lose this one.

Cal needs to get Anthony Davis, Karl Towns, Julius Randle, Bam Adebayo, etc. etc. on the phone hitting this kid up and telling him that bigs that play for Cal get Super Max Contracts. Bigs that go to Mizzou go pro in something other than sports.
Cal needs that next transcendent NBA big. His last one was Bam and that was 2017. PJ Washington and Nick Richards? Solid, but not star types like Bam.

I bet we land this kid but he isn't a make of break player . Honestly its sorta weird but I haven't felt any player was in this class. I understand this is the year we can have a 36-4 type season and win a title. Next season regardless will have ALMOST an entire new roster and while we might be good by March it will more of a 27-10 type squad so I am less focused on it. I expect all the freshmen to be gone either NBA or portal and we will lose Mitchell and Reeves. Just a whole new squad.

Next year could be solid. Fland and Sheppard would give us an elite backcourt. Thiero for a third year (fingers crossed) and a second year from Burks/Hart is a nice core. Cyril is already on board. Get Quaintance, Knox, Richmond, and a grad transfer and that's a team that could make some noise.

But you're right. Next year will probably be a downgrade to what we'll have this year. Quaintance is legit, however.

Mizzou fans have been awful damn mouthy too, saying they got this kid, that Dennis owns UK, that they are better than Kentucky, how they're "new money". They need a metaphorical punch in the face to shut them up. Gotta land this kid.

Not that it means anything, but his latest follow on IG is Boogie Fland.
Really means nothing but can’t hurt. It would mean nothing if he was also recruited by Puke. They like to have their recruits troll UK players, coaches.
