JQ is bum. Really hate losers like that especially in sports. That’s why love and Admire boxers such as Ali, Frazier, Marvin Hagler, Alexis Arguello, Tommy Hearns, Rocky Marciano. Brought the heat every time and didn’t quit.
You forgot to mention the great Sugar Ray Leonard, your buddy 🤣🤣

He seems like the kind of guy who will pay us back for his NIL money after he gets an NBA contract. No worries. Just glad they finally found some ice for that swelling.

This is what I was waiting for. Knee swelling my ***! Kid is a joke. He quit because he got exposed.
Lol
Keep telling yourself that

I don't like what he did either but that kid is good and anyone that says he's not he's fooling themselves. He made the biggest player of the year look like a kid in one of the only games we had a pg.

Where are you getting the number on what he was paid? What do you think that number was? Do you think the other schools recruiting him expected he would play for free?
I won't sit here and act like I know exactly what he was paid. Just like we don't know of the roster was 22 million. I can only go off of what has been said. But he was paid good and you know it man. I would put any bet that we paid him way more than other schools were offering.

JQ was ready for game action. Pope said **** you Jayden. You get 7 minutes vs bellarmine. JQ shut it down because of pope. No other reason. He could have absolutely destroyed pope and quit mid season but he stayed and supported his team. Be mad at pope. Not JQ
I'm not mad at either. But Popes failing as a coach and that's disappointing because UK is my team and we have nothing positive to cheer for.

I have no reason to believe we offered way more than what other schools were offering. If you just want use the fact that he came here as evidence do you apply that same logic for any player that chooses another school over UK? I definitely would assume our offer was less than it would have been if not for the knee injury.

If he came here at a discount then yea sign him let him sit the bench. Maybe play a little. If we paid him the 2-4 million that's been thrown around then that's coaching malpractice.

If Pope got him to come here super cheap then I don't have a problem with it. But I was basing it off of what's been said. I thought that was the biggest problem all season was how much we paid him.

I do know JQ looked hobbled and ineffective the last couple of games he tried to play. I don't claim to know the entire truth about missing the entire rest of the season but those who claim to know 100% are actually just speculating unless they have info the rest of us are not privy to.
Just so happened to be after his dad’s twitter tantrum. Weird.

Could be. But he had committed when Cal was there. Maybe he liked the place? Might as well get use to bidding wars. Be nice to win one now.
I guess the good news is we should have plenty of money left for next season. We’ll see if the current staff can make use of it.

Did you see his dad’s twitter meltdown. I’ve been told that’s an observable fact. Probably just a coincidence that JQ didn’t play a minute after that, right?
You could at least have the decency to have answered my question first. I did see his comments. Whether that was the reason or not is still a matter of speculation.

I think he didn’t play as well in the minutes the coach gave him. My memory isn’t perfect, but he was limited against bellarmine, played 20+ minutes against bama and wasn’t great and then was “misused” in the Missouri game. I sincerely apologize for not answering your question, my bad.

Apology accepted. He looked very good against St Johns. He played 8 minutes as a precaution as he was not really needed against Bellarmine. I will refrain from speculating whether knee complications played any factor in that one. He played 24 minutes against Alabama and did not look nearly as effective as against St Johns. He played 18 against Missouri and was even less effective. It was pretty obvious watching those last two games that the mobility, quickness, and explosiveness were not close to what he showed against St Johns. He only played 17 minutes against St Johns so a lack of minutes against Bama and Missouri would not be a likely reason for his ineffectiveness.

I couldn’t give two ***** about this loser, he quit his teammates and left the program hanging. He and his dad weren’t happy with how MP was employing him and that he was underperforming so he outright chose to sat out. Never care to hear about him again, good riddance.

He used Pope like a receptacle…
So damned glad this guy is gone
