If Raiola can start as a true frosh, Lateef can too.

The passing would be even, maybe better and we would definitely have an element of quarterback run game and someone who could escape in the pocket.

Oops, there he goes, sacked again 🤷‍♂️

Railoa will never be elite. He can only execute from a clean pocket. Otherwise, he’s stumbling around in the backfield like a dancing bear

This is pure ignorance… this is not on Dylan… this is 100 percent on the offensive line… this line hasn’t been able to stop a 4 or even a 3 man rush, that’s an absolute joke… if he’d have anytime at all to throw I’d assume he’d be doing a lot better…

Dylan deserves a lot of blame. He is severely lacking in overall athleticism. He can throw a nice ball once in a while, but he also misses badly on easy throw. Do not expect much from him.

To be honest I hope DR transfers to a program where he can actually showcase his talents. He doesn't deserve the absolute sh*t OL he's been saddled with. You can bet he could name his price and whichever school he desires.

Agree about the part where I hope he transfers. No legacy quarterbacks, please.

Michigan has much better talent on both lines, if Nebraska had that kind of talent, Raiola would look a lot better, having a run game opens up a lot of opportunities, Nebraska doesn't have Michigan type talent.

Again it’s hard to make any throw when you’re facing that kind of pressure… he may not be the most athletic guy back there but even an Athletic guy needs some protection

I mean, today the wolfs had a QB that can't pass at all and they won.

NU has a QB that really can't run but can pass really well and are probably going to lose.

So I am not sure if the QB part matters all that much when that QB is getting sacked 10 times.

If the NU defense just let up one less insane long run, NU probably wins this game.

I mean, Dylan has to whip his head around to make sure he isn't getting sacked every play. A miracle he can then look down field
I agree man. But if you can read a defense pre snap. You know who to throw to before you snap it. Good interview on X with Brady by Cowherd talking about what makes QBs great at the next level. Essentially Brady said it's understanding defenses because everyone has the arm to do it at the next level.

You know how stupid you sound?Remember how pathetic we made Manning look because we destroyed them at the line of scrimmage? Do you think he couldn't make a pre snap read?

We had a few qbs that could run but not pass well over the last decade and lost a lot. It really comes down to supporting cast

Pro QBs have to use their head …and their feet. DR has a great arm, a decent ability to make reads, and snow boots for feet. NFL teams will blitz the chit out of him until he proves that he is capable of moving when pressured.

Dylan is nearly as slow as Sam Keller and missed some reads in the 2nd Half. That said, he is far and away the quarterback. He worked hard to get in better shape in the off-season. He will work hard again this off-season. And he will always be a 65 Speed QB when the CFB26 ratings update on PS5.

If you are new here, welcome to Nebraska football after a loss. When we have a competent passing QB, people lament the lack of escapability. When we have a mobile QB, we all wish they could throw for 300 yards consistently.

Dylan is the guy. He holds the ball too long right now, AND the line was bad today. They'll fix it with reps or scheme. We'll see what "as best they can" looks like in a couple weeks.

At the game, maybe once or twice Dylan held the ball too long. Otherwise the Left Tackle was a ghost in the 1st Q, then the RT was almost equally as bad in the 2nd. Second half they brought TE's in to help, but then the WR couldn't get open. The best chances we had was when #1 and #8 were either out of the game or dropped back into zone... but if either we're coming, Dylan was in trouble.

I disagree completely. The problem was not Dylan's because he still had 300 yards passing despite the lack of protection by the OL. It's the OL that was the problem.

Since the line isn't getting fixed, and is as bad as it has been for the past 15 years, what do you suggest? Stick with the QB who can't scramble or run?

We ripped off the wrapper on the playbook when the game started. We got every break in the book on that first drive, and didn't score a point.

We got a **** ton of breaks throughout the game that typically never go our way. And ultimately we couldn't beat a top 20 team at home.

We aren't terrible, but we are a fringe Top 40 team. Like 9th best in the Big 10.

I’d say we probably have opportunity to finish 6-7th in big 10

It seems that Dylan makes the plays he should given his rating coming out of HS. There are definitely holes in his game. What he doesn’t do is create something from nothing. Teams do not fear him, you just outlast him knowing he will get his 250-300 yards but won’t beat you with his legs. All those zone read fakes do little as he is never a threat to run or take advantage of what a D gives.

And for crying out loud, can we quit throwing the fade! We are so bad at it.
