he compares favorably in the areas that are neither here nor there when playing QB (footspeed, quickness, etc)Any highlights? I'm curious how he compares to the 3-star QB in our own backyard.
I’m just going to go ahead and trust Whip over youhe compares favorably in the areas that are neither here nor there when playing QB (footspeed, quickness, etc)
after watching his highlight reel, I'm afraid @WHCSC may have hit the nail on the head
oh, and to put a bow on it, this kid's smaller than Flores, too!
2800 combined yards and 31 TDs this past season. Similar numbers as a true freshman starter but 31 passing and 7 rushing TDs....as a true freshman. He's not Luke McCaffrey and he won't need to start at NU as a true freshman like Adrian did. IF he starts as a freshman, it would be because he's earned it and it sounds like he already makes good decisions with the ball. Sounds like he already knows Whipple's offense and reads. It's Whipple's *** and he won't get any do overs like Frost has. I'll let him decide who to recruit. Massachusetts Player Of The Year. MaxPreps has a good article. Watson's offers included Michigan, Tennessee, Pitt and OREGON.he compares favorably in the areas that are neither here nor there when playing QB (footspeed, quickness, etc)

Not a huge historian of Massachusetts football but who are the qbs to come out of there in the last 2 decades??

Matt and Tim Hasselbeck? That’s more than 20 years ago but I can’t think of anyone else. Not a huge historian of Massachusetts football but who are the qbs to come out of there in the last 2 decades??
Thanks for the data, looks promising. Seems to be a smart player that is also a real jerk that knows his stuff. Great get.Career TD/INT: 58/8
5 things I noticed on junior film.
1. Gets the ball out quick most plays.
2. Throws a nice deep ball with touch.
3. Arm strength looked sufficient.
4. Plenty fast
5. Made plays from the pocket and on the run.
I really liked his film. Didn't see his completion. percentage but couldn't be too shabby with 58 TDs and only 8 picks
He can coach in to his 70s but I don't think Watson is worried about it. IF Whipple would retire, he could transfer without consequence. The transfer rule really frees kids up to change his school if his coach leaves. Whipple has been a coach his whole life and still seems to have the juice to want to keep going. I'm 64 and I'm not nearly ready to park my *** in a rocking chair and the stuff I'm doing is a lot more physically demanding than what Whipple would be doing.Does he really expect Whipple to be here for the next 5-6 years, though? He's turning 65 in a couple months. I will be surprised if he doesn't retire in 3 years
