I wonder if he has to give all the money back to tOSU that he got. People awarding this NIL money to HS kids are going to have to rethink if it’s smart to drop ridiculous amounts of money on a kid that could end up transferring

The company that offered him the NIL money had contingencies that were based on how much he played. I don't think they're out much if any money from that deal. They got some publicity for almost nothing. It's a weird game we're playing now. It's kind of like the shoe contracts basketball players get coming out of high school now. Who knows if the kid is going to ever play in the NBA.

Let me get this straight.

You only get to use the free transfer rule once, right?

So if he doesn't win the job at Texas, or he gets beat out in his second year by a new stud freshman or things don't go well or anything slightly negative happens, he would have to sit out a year in order to transfer again, right? All because he used his freebe five minutes after arriving at his first school.
