I’m going with the coach, AM it is. It’s great to have a capable b/up in the wings. The kid is fast & the little I’ve seen, has been decisive in running the offense.
IF Vedral were to come in and play, I think he’d do good, but Adrian is the starter until he’s not.

What has to happen saturday for me to feel like I lost? I certainly don't agree with people who think Martinez is going to win us a conference title let alone the division. He throws those hospital balls against Wisconsin Spielman might be in concussion protocol the rest of his life
It amazes me that some random dude on a message board has a better grasp of the capabilities of a group of QBs than the coaches who recruited and coached those players. Its as though all of those years of actual playing, watching film, recruiting, running practices and coaching mean nothing. Clearly, Moos should have had open interviews with a few posters ( aka Uncle Ricos) here rather than getting Frost.

Let's put Adrian to the side. What quarterback on our roster will lead us to a conference championship divisional "championship."
Seriously, what has to happen? I hope I'm wrong. I hope we play well enough to win. I hope Martinez leads us to victory. I will write a 4 paragraph essay about how much of a dumbass I was to ever doubt him. But what happens when we likely lose 48-17 and he has multiple mistakes? People here will still believe he is the savior. This poll serves no purpose. People think Ohio St hasn't played anyone? Go look at the FPI. South Alabama is 125. Illinois 85. NIU 99. CU 55. And we are a lucky 3-1 against that schedule. Cincinnati is 52 and indianaIis 53.
I think if we have a crisp UCF offense we could compete for the division. Vedral I think would have us competing for one instead of playing down to our competition. Trust me he would have plenty of weapons to play with. Conference title I think McAffrey and Smothers will compete against each other to get us there. Frost needs an open competition for the position with the 4 guys we will have on the roster or I don't see any big time QB recruits wanting to come here.

I understand what you're saying. Martinez makes mistakes, but he's like 19 or 20 years old. Give it time. Vedral looked good. We're lucky to have him.
Martinez is the best actual quarterback that I've ever seen play for Nebraska. We're not winning anything this year regardless. One season and four games my friend.
My worry is his mental makeup.

We have a very dangerous offense. Problem is we kill ourselves a lot. Minimize that we will probably have a chance.
Bruce is a Husker fan. I’ve seen him around for quite awile and he’s long talked Nebraska football. I may not agree with him on our QB but I don’t question him being a Husker fan.
