Frank Ryan QB for the Cleveland Browns has passed away. As starting QB won a Championship with the Browns in 1964. Had a good NFL career. Three time pro-bowler. Also had a doctorate in Mathematics from Rice & taught in college in the off season. Shared time at Rice with King Hill who was drafted first in 1958 or 59.
Ryan had the better NFL career, though King played for 12 yrs. Always liked Ryan.
Always thought that it was pretty remarkable that Rice turned out two pro QB's at the same time. RIP Frank.
