Texas State is designed to get all three a reasonable amount of playing time. I could care less who takes the first snap, but if Gio is one of the co-captains, it makes sense that he's the one for this game. I'd guess he'd start as well in Columbus in that particular environment. After that, it's a matter of who earns it. I'm glad the 3rd game is at Kansas, not Washington ;-)
Was wondering when they added Washington to the schedule.

I’m with Ruich. Seems to me like starting Gio is the right move, and give Art a few series a game to get his feet wet. I haven’t read anything to believe that Art is head and shoulders above Gio at this point. Gotta think the experience gives him the edge. Can’t risk losing that first game.

Damn that Tommygunn guy is one smart sob....lol

10 points seems to have impressed a lot of people.
Just like with Ash, the bar has been set so low that fans will overlook a lot in support of someone like Gio. He gave his all today but he would not last 3 games playing that way without getting injured. After another year of Ash there could be a movement to fund a Kyle Flood statue outside the stadium.

You know that you aren’t winning 6 with Gio, so I’d go with Art. Art is the future and has the upside. This is a 4-win max team regardless of who the QB is. Put the future in now so he gets the action which prepares him for years 2, 3, and 4.
Art is not a QB, and never will be. He couldn’t even start in High School, but leave it to Rob Ash to start him all season, and go figure, worst QB in college football. The worst RU has ever seen. Get over it. Art is NOT the guy.
