Nothing like a Fyfe reference to start out a Tues.

Or is it the ghost of Phyfe (rip)?

Didnt expect barthel.
He has been making the rounds recruiting lately and has given no indication to recruits he’s on the way out.

I agree. IMO TE is the position he should be at with the OC responsibility. I think TE also is good for him with the OC responsibilities because I think it is less demanding than coaching the QB's.
Correct. People did say before the season that the TE coach is the HC's drinking buddy.

He only coached TE's one year. Most of his position time has been spent with the QB's followed by receivers.

Shocker, the message board community would fire half the coaches every year. Cause that’s how you build a program…smh
Oh, sweet summer child, you think a coach like Rhule is gonna stay after he gets to 10 wins? The only reason TO built the program through the good & bad times was his foundation in Hastings. Program building is a thing of the past. To be a long term program builder you have to have roots at the school, or in-state. The selfishness of professional football has trickled down to the college game. Deion Sanders type hires will become more prevalent. Stay a fan if you want, or go, doesn't matter to the advertisers & broadcasters. They'll just demand the top 48 teams build a super league so the viewers can be focused on just 2 dozen time slots per weekend. Then the sports streaming costs start to sky rocket and they got you where they want you. Ain't it grand?

Bump

Any new info on a potential QB coach?
Last baseless rumor on here was a Stealers OC staffer that used to work with Rhule. Not sure in what capacity he’d be coming here though.

Guess which year satt was his OC
So are you saying the offense is too complicated or blaming Satt for the QB making bad throws and decision making?

He threw 8 this season so was that Satt hangover?

conference-leading turnover totals follow satt around

whatever the reason, it's not a coincidence

maybe he's just the unluckiest guy in college coaching

Nnnnooooooo. He had that ridiculous written test where smothers graded as the next Tom Brady
Written tests and field tests are entirely different things. A lot of QB's can do well without any on field pressure but then crumble in the face of an actual defense on the field. That's not to say written tests are unimportant, it's just to say they're never the complete story.

Smothers playing in a bowl game right now 🤷
Where have we seen this before? Smothers scores a TD diving for the pylon and injures his throwing shoulder. Coach puts him back in on the next series and Smothers can’t get anything on a throw which ends in a pick 6 for the go ahead score. Smothers was playing well up to that point.

We saw that from Satterfield just this year against Purdue
