Puzzling that Gordon gets the call here.

Cole is a redshirt senior with no future in the big leagues. I don’t expect him to have much if any limit in the postseason. They’ll trot him out every day as long as his arm is live. He’s on the Kevin Donovan plan.

Just figuring they hope to not need him tomorrow, and have him ready to go again if needed on Monday. In a 5 run game kind of weird though I agree.

I TOTALLY AGREE!
Threw 40 yesterday and now 13-14 tonight.
I would have left White in the way he was dealing.
Got the W tho to put us in the drivers seat!
Really want to beat Miami tomorrow night to close this out!

Am just thankful Coaches decided to leave Tanner Allen in the lineup going against local message board heroes advice.

If I remember correctly, White hasn't pitched more than 1 inning all year. He's a max effort guy. We added that insurance run in T9 that was enough to justify taking out our closer but not to throw James out there and hope for the best. Cue Cole Gordon. If White had pitched the 9th, he wouldn't be available tomorrow. As it is, we have Plumlee, Liebelt, and White to wrap this thing up tomorrow. I'd say that's a pretty good game 3 setup.

The problem with White is that he has one pitch. And while the velocity is there, the movement is not. He’ll look like Goose Gossage on one day and Mitchell Boggs the next. If the U is the foe, they can bash it. This thing is far from wrapped up.
