Some of y’all were ever so happy with Coach Lebby after game four, but after injuries, some are willing to make him walk the SixPackSpeak Plank. Who amount you has the $7.6- 9.5 million to do the dirty deed and buy out his contract. If you don’t have the ready cash to put up on all your big talk, sit on your hands, please.

Hells, bell! I didn’t like what I saw from the offense, but let’s be real. The next coach will inherit the ‘poor man of the SEC’. We will never match Texas or Georgia in the NILWild West of free spending, with whoever we hire to be the head coach. Get real!

Yeah Kentucky’s a top 10 team strictly because they’re spending as much as UGA and Texas

It's 2026 and if AD's and the University administration don't have a plan on how to handle the buyout before the contract is signed, then they shouldn't be in those positions.

Of course they never believe it will ever come to a buyout until it does. For a first time head coach in the SEC you would think a plan would have been put in place in case it went South.

Ticket sales are a thing you know?. Another year of Lebby is going to drive the sales down even further. Somebody is going to have to take a financial hit one way or another. Might as well do it without the guy that will be 3-22 in the SEC after this season if wrapped up (if we keep him past the Vandy game).

If Taylor is back I think we will sell plenty of tickets

Would you rather have middle class passionate fans bitching about the pathetic coach and wanting their school to do better or have those same fans just say 17it and walk away completely forever . If people even sensed that Lebby was building a competitive program there would be waaaay more support.......... but Billy Puckett ????

So based on your message here, State has 2 choices. Accept that the SEC is the best place for us as long as we are willing to accept mediocrity because ….BIG CHECKS! But the big checks don’t seem to be helping State compete in the SEC with the quality of coaching State continues to hire.
So choice 1: status quo and be satisfied with 4-8, 5-7 and the rare 6-6 in the SEC to keep the checks coming.
or choice 2: Find another conference where State can actually compete with the kind of funding that conference and the alumni are willing to spend.

Of course most of us prefer the university Admin spend the kind of money it takes to hire a successful sitting coach in one of those lower level conferences who can make State competitive in the SEC!

So, what's your sales pitch to those of us that remembered while we started out 4-0 this season, that last season also started out 4-0 and ended by going 1-8? Are we supposed to sit here quietly and hope for a better portal year, AGAIN?

Texas is a beatable team. Hell, every team we have played or will play are beatable. We just don't have the coach to do it. He put all his eggs in one basket. That basket got broke. He doesn't know what to do or how to fix it. He's has turned the rooster over three times with the portal. He just doesn't have it. In today's college football 7 million isn't jack.

Darling, that’s an interesting gambit. It’s a fair point, but I was a littie after creation. Now, to be fair, in your case, it did sound like the rant of an elderly gentleman. There’s nothing wrong with that, though.

We bout to see if all he knows is hand it off to Fluff or Chunk it deep to Evans, Johnson or Magee. If the dude can actually coach he will adjust the plan to work for the talent he has left.
