Bench combs for hausen 2nd half. He’s given us nothing and mentally flustered.
I thought when we brought drake to compete in the Big 10 this would be what this game looks like. The Hawks have exceeded my expectations but the rest of season looks brutal.
Just goes to show you than teams really can and do overlook the competition sometimes.
No way that isn't a double-digit loss if ISU didn't go into that game with a sense of "we're gonna take it to them from opening tip to final buzzer".
Hawks looked so competent on their west coast trip, they haven't been the same team since. I was hoping this was the game where we return to form, especially with a sold out crowd. At this point, I only hope for a spot in the tournament so we can say that we at least made progress.
Roster is one of the least talented in the conference. Just factual.
Need to run sets to get Stirtz open 3s. He appears to be the only one that can make them. More Jirak please.
Yep we got an elite coach who needs time. Make the tournament this season and I'll take it.
I haven't read the thread before this and will likely comment in another thread. Loved seeing Jirak get some time. We so need more size and Trevor needs a feel for playing against this level of competition. We have our future center IMO but another big would certainly help.

McCollum's teams are tough to play when you only play them once. The style they play on defense and their offense can be a challenge. The second time around, all you have to do is limit Stirtz and this team cannot compete with top teams.

If Koch can’t get more involved then sit him. Underwhelming stats from someone this team needs on offense.
The whole team has been hesitant to shoot all season long, even passing up good looks. Everyone seems to play so tight offensively.

Frustrating half but could easily get back in it with some made open shots. I want to see a lineup of Stirtz/Hausen/Banks/Fulgeiras/Jirak for some extended minutes in the 2nd half.
