“Northwestern (6-15, 1-10 Big Ten) didn't score at all over the last 4:34 as the Boilermakers scored the last 11 points of the game to steal the victory.“
I’m sick of this story line. I’m not a coach, but just get ANY points at the end of games.

Lou what are your thoughts. Mine are that it is time to let Collins go. The only question is who will replace him

Oh guess they could bring back Carmody! After watching well regarded coaches like Tex Winter, Bill Foster, Larry Glass, Bill Rohr and Rich Falk fail and leave. No winning coach will take the NU job.

At this point I think you have to stay with Collins for another 2-3 years to see if he can maintain or improve on the current recruiting level. It might be fair to ask him to bring in a more experienced asst coach to guide him in more of the xo’s and in game tactics.

The only way to compete in the Big 10 long term is to recruit better and I don’t see any coach that would want to jump on board at this stage who is likely to improve that in the near term.

Now if we return to a dry year or two on the recruit trail then that’s a new decision fork in the road

Yeah, Brian James with like 35 years of college and NBA experience isn't enough......
