You know what else they have, some of the top training facilities in the big ten. Getting ready to do a huge staduim renovation that's supposed to be over 9 figures. Investing in the coaching staff. And much more. Because it was a bad job 3 years ago doesn't mean it is a bad job now. That can change. Purdue is capable of having a top 10 program. Has before and can again.

I'd like to see that. It would be sweet to have Nebraska and Purdue rise up to balance out the East.
I'm a fan of Purdue as I loved going to your campus when I would recruit their for my company, but it is going to be tough for Purdue to keep Brohm if people come calling for him. All of the things you listed are great, and it would be awesome if Brohm stayed and changed things, but their is still that perception out there that Purude is not a football school. If Louisville or one of the big boys came calling, it is going to be tough to stay. Brohm is a stud, and I can't imagine what he would do with 4 & 5 star talent across the board. You guys have a great coach, I just don't seem him staying more than a couple more years.
How is not being a "football" school, who has had some great players btw, affect his abilities to win? How's that hurt him?
You have had some great players no doubt, but that doesn't change the fact that you still don't have homerun classes to become an elite school. Nebraska doesn't even have any of those classes yet. In order to win on the big stage you have to be chalked full of talent. You captured lightning in a bottle with Moore, and he has really helped you move forward, but you have to get more talent in there. It is going to be tough to get talent to West Lafayette. Brohm has done a decent job so far, but it is going to be difficult. It is super difficult at Nebraska and we are a football school with the hottest new coach in America (although it has lost a little luster with the start). I'm not saying Brohm can't do it if he continues to win, but you have to take baby steps and also Brohm has to stay or you are right back where you were. Like I said, I am not knocking you. I think Brohm is a stud, but when I think of football I don't think of Purdue, and I don't things kids across America do either.
I don't say I disagree with you. But talent is coming to Purdue. He is recruiting high profile kids to Purdue. Rondale isn't a surprise. He was underranked. Hence why rankings don't mean much. Im going to use them here as a barameter though. The class he currently has is #24 with at least 3 4 star guys leaning to Purdue at the moment. That means he could end up with 7 4 star players after a 7 win season. Why? Because Purdue is investing and making the school attractive to players and coaches. If he leaves, we will go find another good coach. But I don't see him leaving for a while. He can do what alverez did for Purdue and make them the best in the west. Heck, they have a shot at the west this year without his guys. So not sure how he can't win or get recruits to Purdue. Obviously he isn't getting a top 10 class in year two, but top 25 is a heck of a start.
It definitely is a heck of a start. I hope you guys win the west this year as well. It will warm my heart for you to beat Wisconsin and Iowa, and hopefully you get it done handily.
Alma Mater. I think right now Purdue is a better job, but alma maters do mean a lot to people.
Does following the coach that got you your start after being run out due to one bad season weigh in? Remember, Brohm's dad told him to take the Purdue job because there are only 14 jobs in the best conference in the country. Plus, have you seen Louisville recently? It's a mess. To fire petrino alone would cost them 14 mil.
