Purdue overall has beaten better teams....Duke, Gonzaga and then nice wins over WVU, Marquette. Beating Duke and Gonzaga in that same tourney goes along way

UConn has the bigger win over Alabama and nice wins over ISU and to a lesser extent OSU and Florida

There will be lots of movement up and down the top 25 as we move forward. I look for Rutgers to move in to the top 25 in early January and Arkansas to stay pretty well entrenched at between 8 and 12 for a while.

If they are Number 1, there should be about 10 Number 1s. No way they are the best team in the country regardless of who they beat. They will do well all year in the plodding physical B1G and then tank early in the tournament vs. a quick, athletic team.

This was supposed to be a down year for Uconn because of the number players leaving after last season.Hurley is a great recruiter and has quickly made Uconn a top tier Big East team replacing Villanova.
