purdue can't score

this should be a blowout

purdue totaled -13 yards rushing on 24 attempts last week
You guys may be into something, I have adamantly watched or listened to almost every game the last 4 years...... Seems the one I have to work during the game are the ones we win. I may have to follow suit.

You feeling ok? Remember Adrian Martinez is our quarterback and him alone can make things very interesting then you have Scott Lost red zone offense, Its still burned into my memory the shuffle pass at the 2 yard line several years ago 😢😢😢🤮

yes. despite those facts, I feel very good about a multiple-score victory on Saturday!

The way our secondary gave up easy completions against the Dirt Rats up north causes me some concern. I thought Purdue was pretty effective in their passing game against Iowa.

bell beat them with 3 catches, basically, and when iowa's down by 7 it might as well be 100 with that offense
That's kinda how I felt about Minnesota last week. Two picture-perfect fades into the endzone that I am convinced that QB couldn't throw again in his next 10 attempts. If those two passes are not dropped right into the bread basket, we win going away (probably).

I don’t know about win going away, because there were other plays to follow those. They still could have scored on those drives in the first half.

But Morgan had a perfect first half throwing the ball. Sometimes they were easy throws, and these 2 you mentioned were twice in a lifetime throws.

or, we can score on 3/4 trips inside their 30 in the 2nd half instead of 1/4 and win handily despite those throws

It's interesting Purdue score their most in Big 10 play against Iowa.
Iowa played man to man coverage and couldn't get to the QB. Wisconsin played zone and hit O'Connell every other play. Purdue lives on their defense and prays their offense can score enough. Before this week, they would consistently move the ball until they got to the 20.

The games all end up close but when we're down by 10 it doesn't feel close. It feels inevitable.

yep. NU never plays man (we don't have the personnel), but we also don't get to the QB.

if purdue wants to score, they're going to have to do it in 10+ play drives.

NU offense, however, will be just fine. will be, by far, the best offense purdue's D has seen this year. I suspect the 'success' to date points to yet another lame b1g unit that's benefited greatly from playing terrible b1g offenses thus far.

wisconsin, very predictably, destroyed your D line (the "strength" of the D) last week. won by a million while throwing for less than 60 total yards.

I'll say NU 38-13

Purdue doesn't have an issue going on long drives. It's finishing inside the 20 that is the issue.

I guess the Nebraska offense doesn't scare me vs the Purdue D anymore than the Nebraska D vs the Purdue O. Wisconsin did push around the Purdue Dline, but Nebraska isn't walking out the same oline as Wisconsin and for the most part, Purdue front 7 has been good enough to pretty good. Minus Wisconsin of course. DB's are aggressive and can be beat deep if Martinez can get time. I'm mostly worried about his legs and the ability to breakdown the Purdue D. George will be double teamed at minimum. My guess is Graham guards TE's and blitzes all game. Should be a good one.

We know what that's like. Nebraska is #12 in total offense and #106 in red zone offense. 🤢

other than wisc your D has played ILL, MN and iowa. pretty sure that's numbers 14, 13 and 12 in the league in offense

Nebraska's offense will be, by a hundred miles, the best offense purdue has seen this year

Purdue #13 and #107? Haha Minnesota is the perfect example. 2 wide open passes on two different drives inside the 10 and both were missed. We are desperately hoping Brady Allen is the answer next year as a true freshman.

Based on? Stats, ppg, ypg, bias?

But even if you want to look at the offenses Purdue has played, maybe most have been meh at best, outside of Wisconsin, hard to argue that they are holding them to 8-10 points below their average.

Never heard of him. Cool that Tom Brady and Josh Allen have a love child though.

O'Connell was on fire against Iowa. The guy didn't miss a receiver all day.

based on all of the above

total yards: iowa 13th, ill 12th, mn 9th
points: ill 14th, mn 8th, iowa 6th(courtesy of 52 vs MD)

purdue's defense has faced one real test all season (last week, stopping wisc rushing attack), and failed miserably

this game should be over by halftime
