It’s a meaningless game. They will lose a head scratcher soon enough. No way. We don't want those bastards to win anything.

Haven't beaten Purdue in like 6 years.Indiana shows how they have fallen when storming the court against a team named Purdue..
Kudos to the senior guard at IU though. He had struggled since his freshman year and had the game of his life tonight. Happy for the kid.
Just goes to show how hard it is to win on the road. Winning percentage drops 20+ percent from home to road even for the best teams.Coach Woodson's first signature win.
I'll take it!!
Purdue was the far, far more talented team.
Looks like Bloomington found it’s new phone book cover.![]()
It'll take them a week to scrape the manure off the court. If we happen to lose to Auburn will they storm the court? That alone is reason to win.
Archie never beat Purdue.Even under Tom Crean and Archie Miller, I believe Indiana was usually pretty good at home. Their issue is they've been horrific at neutral sites and on the road.
Extension!Archie never beat Purdue.
Not once.
Mike Woodson beat Purdue's best team ever (that's no exaggeration) the first time he faced them.
Purdue was never ranked #1 in their history until this year.
This is not Purdue's best team ever.Archie never beat Purdue.
Not once.

Um....this is Purdue's best team ever. This is not Purdue's best team ever.
Funny, but you may not want that down the road.Extension!
What are you like 12 or something?Um....this is Purdue's best team ever.
By a good margin.
Their rankings this year are proof.
They are loaded. Tonight they got nothing from Trevion Williams. He was awful.
When Williams is your back up center.....you're really good.
They have, again, never been ranked number one in the country before. What are you like 12 or something?
Purdue was national runner up to UCLA in the '60s. They went to the final four in 1980. Keady had several number one seeds in the mid-90s.
How many times have they been ranked #1 in the country?Purdue has been an NCAA top seed 3 times since 1979.

He had 2. I agree the Big Dog years were probably their best.,What are you like 12 or something?

At Auburn? I don't think that would be very wise!Do we rush the floor if we win Saturday in Auburn?
Kinda like giving Cal a lifetime contract after winning only one National Championship. You guys know what comes next right? IU extends the coach's contract based on his first season, limps through the next 5 seasons, then has to buy him out.
Sounds like every other team in D1. Rutgers beat PU too.Indiana is that team that will beat ranked opponents and also lose to Rutgers and Northwestern. Total schizophrenia.
Yes, which means they've become an "also-ran" program. It's the same way SEC teams have historically measured themselves- against UK. So, what do they do? They sell out one game a year. They have a t-shirt giveaway, a white out, black out, purple out, and so on when UK comes to town. If they can beat UK when they come to town, they won their title. So, Indiana is now measuring themselves by Purdue. That's not a misprint. Their rushing the court seals it.Indiana is that team that will beat ranked opponents and also lose to Rutgers and Northwestern. Total schizophrenia.
Purdue is good, they have two great 3 point specialists, a backup center or PF, dominating big man, and an NBA wing. They aren’t that deep, and if you play fast you can beat them. It’s not the best team they have ever had, they are good but I don’t even know if they would beat their elite 8 team from 2 or 3 years ago. They have, again, never been ranked number one in the country before.
That...again....is NEVER.
Not once.
A Boiler fan friend of mine said this to me a few weeks ago.
"Purdue literally has two separate teams that could compete for the B1G title this year".
While that might be slight (emphasis on slight) hyperbole.....Purdue is incredibly deep and talented.
Yeah, I’m sure after beating the #4 team in the country, the first thought IU players had was; “Darn! We helped UK”.Even in victory, Indiana can still only suck, because their victory over archrival Purdue only helps Kentucky in their overall seed quest mission this year.
Q: When is a win not a win for a Hoosier?
A : When it helps Kentucky in any way imaginable.
So that's about a wrap for Indiana tonight !
PS : Head to head : Purdue 124 wins vs IU 90
I fully look forward to Purdue re-establishing their Bloomington win streak and overall win streak to become resurrected very soon!
Thanks for playing, Hoosiers!
