This will end up being Bolin's shining moment...he will step up big this game. Just my prediction.
And not fumble 3 times.
Win the Turnover battle !

We need to eat clock and run endless run plays. The less time their QB is on the field, the better.
Rutgers is going to have the same rush heavy offense you saw last week, unless they go down multiple scores early. Purdue has the second worst Rush D in the Big 10. Purdue is going to try an air it out obviously. It's going to come down to who is more effective in those areas. I'm expecting Brohm to throw in a trick play or two as he is more of a gambler. Not a hard game to predict. They will be airing it out from the start and scoring on us in a painful way.
In order for us to stay in the game, we will need a good pass attack. Bolin can't do that, looks like Gio will be playing injured, if he plays at all. Lewis, tweaked his ankle last week, and he is not ready anyway. Not going to keep up with them by running the ball.
Gonna be a long day for a small Homecoming crowd in Piscataway.
Only if the DBs can cover people. The D line will probably be required to rush the passer vs stopping the run. If Purdue can score within a few minutes after we hold the ball, but don't score, we haven't gained anything. If it's a close game in the 4th qtr, it might not play out that way which should give us a small advantage. ILL had no trouble moving the ball at the end and that's scary. There is more to time of possession then just points. Wear down opposition defense, while keeping your own defense fresh. Should pay off in late game scenario's.
If Gio started Game #1, he'd have gotten hurt in Game #1 and been ineffectual the remainder of the 2017 campaign. Kid has balls of steel, but knees of glass.Anyone expecting the Head Coach to play the wrong QB for the first Five Games had to be smoking some crazy ****. The handful of wins would have been easily made had Gio started Game #1.
