Playing without O’Connell and jones….but probably wouldn’t have mattered. This was an easy bet.
This team is missing their NFL QB, WR, TE, G, C, LB, CB and lost 3 more starters in the 1st quarter. Also missing entire coaching staff including offensive and defensive playcallers. I'd hope LSU could smoke a B team without coaches... it's been easy money since Brohm left.

They had 3 starters to to the portal, but I think two are playing. Deen got hurt early and not sure he came back though. This game was never going to be close. The two coaches left have never called plays and leave for Louisville tonight.
Hell top Gun was promoting that Purdue play in the Rose bowl because they won the participation west division..

Could see it being a 50-45 game either way. I don't really bet on games anyways but even if I did I wouldn't touch that one especially with all the opt outs on both sides. Should be a good game

Shame on Brohm and Purdue for letting this team walk into this game with a skeleton staff like that. I’m sure everyone loved Drew Brees smiling on the sidelines, but how embarrassing for the players. Between the staff situation and the opt outs I wish the sponsor has un-invited Purdue. Or can minimize their pay out. Not fair to the players or the bowl as an organization.

You’re probably right. I just wish the bowl would’ve taken back their invite. Not fair to anyone involved on the sponsorship or bowl side.
I remember it as happening last season when Texas got curb-stomped against Arkansas. I vaguely remember his 0 TD performance against the weakest Bama defense in years. I vividly remember him getting outdueled by Texas Tech’s backup QB.
We’ve seen QBs improve when they move to a softer conference with a better coaching staff (Adrian Martinez). Have yet to see a QB move to a tougher conference with a worse staff and somehow get better.
