Just imagine.

As for UT's standards, perhaps they are finding out how hard it is to recruit nationally these days. Perhaps the time has come for them to reconsider their standards a bit.

But to the big 6 football schools in the SEC, anything less than 9-3 is a bit of a disappointing season. I do agree that UT is probably not going to find a coach to get them back to where they were in the 1990s though.

Tennessee can't even protect their own borders. One of the biggest reasons UT has experienced a steady decline is the fact that year after year they don't land the top players in-state.

Its pretty ridiculous, but it happens time and time again.

Patrick Turner, Craig Cooper, Golden Tate, Alex Watkins, Barrett Jones, Donta Hightower.

When you have limited number of top flight athletes, you can't let the best ones leave your state, LSU doesn't let it happen and AL/AU dont usually let it happen.

I think Va Tech, WVA, Clemson, South Carolina and North Carolina, all becoming decent to really good has effected their recruiting base as well.

All that, and they are running a bland easy to predict offense that tries to get 3 yards on first down. They don't think outside the box.
