I know it is only Monday but I am too excited for this game not to start this thread.

I see a close game. But the home field night game atmosphere is huge.

I’m drinking koolaid.

Atmosphere will be electric. Huskers control line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and break even on turnovers.

I'm worried about pressuring SD. Was Tony White not showing his hand until real competition starts? I was a tad disappointed in the number of sacks against UTEP.

We did not have very many blitzes at all on Saturday. But the trouble with blitzing Sanders is that he is slippery and can slide around the pocket and make plays on the run. And they have receivers who are great at stretching the field. So we can't just blitz him with our hair on fire or else we will get burnt. I think we will see some creative blitz packages that will be dialed up in situational settings. But we really need to be able to get pressure on Sanders without blitzing. And so I do share the concern that we did not have many sacks. But there will be more blitzes this week for sure.

The main thing is try to keep him in the pocket, then try to collapse the pocket. Can't flush him out and then have our bigs chasing him cause it just buys him and his receivers more time. If you're gonna come after him, come after him with kids who can run him down.

With the 3-3-5, we are supposed to have some flexibility with where the 4th rusher comes from. And I have to think Tony White has some things that he didn’t show against UTEP. Hopefully we do in fact have the quality depth to effectively chase and harass the QB all night.

I think the crowd will give the defense some added juice

I watched the highlights of CU vs NDSU, and Shedeur stood out as being able to both buy time and also take hits, throwing right before contact multiple times for strikes.

Their WRs are fast and good. Our DBs will have their hands full. Hopefully our front can get pressure and completely neutralize the run.

I worry about our FG kicking.

Dylan is going to need to play to his potential and help get us TDs, along with a steady run game to wear down the Buffs.

We need this win so bad. Losing 4 in a row to CU just can’t happen.

The crowd needs to do their part. Quite a few false starts and holding penalties for the puffs,

Please, Dear Lord!

We are better than the Buffs in most position groups, especially on D. If we don’t pee down both legs and give up numerous big plays, this should be a W and exercise significant Husker demons. This game should be a cleansing. (Please let it happen and be a full throttle Frosty exorcism.)

My prediction is Horn will be the primary damage dealer for CU early, NU does well to contain Hunter in first half.

Hunter takes over in the second half. He’s that good.

We will produce at least 2 turnovers. I predict a fumble and INT.

With CUs lack of ability to sustain a run game, I see a 24-13 halftime lead for NU.

Final score 38-27 Big Red. Puffs get late score to give Hunter a second (or third) TD for his “Heisman” run.

42-24 Huskers. I think the gameday atmosphere and our size/physicality will be too much for the Buffs this year. They'll get some big plays but Raiola and Co will get more.

I like our chances especially at home and at night!

I’m saying
NU 38
CU 21

I think the plan is going to be a strong ground attack to control the clock. CU has an NFL caliber QB and very good receivers and they are going to get points. But it won’t be enough.

Our secondary will get tested and break at times but the D as a whole will be up to the task. I think the O line is going to get a lot of push and chew up clock. I think we win this one pretty handily! GBR!

I was thinking 30-24 good guys. That's pretty close to your prediction and hopefully doesn't come across as a copy. I'll stick with it though. I think it will be a hard fought game that we pull out.

If we beat them by less than 14 points I will feel like Colorado won. That program is a joke and any good team with depth and confidence should beat the snot out of that dumb *** team.

A win is a win... but if we don't make them look like crap I will be disappointed. I just do not like that program right now. I hate them so much right now I'd root for Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri and Texas to beat them. Sanders and his boys need to gtfo and I hope they fail at everything. Why you ask? I want them all to get real jobs to learn some F***ING humility
