I liked having one, so I am going to post one here.

Apparently Mendez knows where he is going, but he hasn't told coaches. He is doing that tonight and announcing tomorrow on FRL. This is per Pyles on FRL today.

I suspect Michigan, due to his relationship with Jackson. Love to see him come to PS though.

Mendez to Ohio State. A surprise to me. I was expecting Michigan. They have an amazing recruiting class this year.Top 3 recruits .

TJ Stewart to VA Tech! Good prospect... Had interest in PS. I suspect just a little too crowded with young , really good upper weights right now at PS.

Stevo Poulin in the transfer portal. Think there'd be mutual interest? Stevo at 125, Robbie at 133?

I sat close to Robbie at Nationals in PGH 3 years ago. I guess he'd already committed to Penn State. Not a big dude. Looks like a career 125er to my eyes, but I've been wrong many times before.

I was in the same row as well and agree. Did you see Suriano keep looking up at him during his warmups before one of the rounds? Thought that was funny.. Also, thought I saw him coming out of the Lorenzo complex before the match yesterday... if it was him then it looked like he just got a good work out in.

A career 125 pounder is hard to find! It’s funny - on Twitter the other day, they were debating whether there should still be 118 pound weight class. I was thinking that it’s hard enough to find a 125 pounder, let alone 118 AND 125.

I didn't see that. My best memories from that location were Nolf leaving an imprint of Van Brill on the floor, and I swear I saw DeSanto's hip touch the mat against RBY. Still can't be convinced that the takedown should've been waved off................Nolf is all class. Never has shown any animosity toward Van Brill, but I'm convinced he was well aware of who he was wrestling at NCAAs that year. There seemed to be a little extra intensity, even for Nolf.

Caden Horwath, a top 120 lber , out of Michigan has committed to Michigan. It was rumored PS was after him. We could still be in on McGowan who is also at the same weight and is from PA.

Just for accuracy: McGowan is from the Tampa area (won FL states as an 8th grader) and attends Blair.

But yes, the coaches are known to be recruiting him. And he'd be a great pickup to succeed Howard at 125.

The Dicemen99 chart in the above sticky threads projects him at 141.

Is Gibson projected as a 133lber in college?
133 is likely too small. He was a HS FR 120.

I had thought maybe 149/157 because he's smaller than Erik, who looks like a 165 for Cornell. Others who have seen him in person recently say he's smaller than that, probably a 141.

What I had forgotten to check was how much smaller -- 120 vs 138 as freshmen. So, yeah, 141 looks reasonable, at least until we see him compete again.

Thanks. I was just curious. I know he wrestled 120 last year and he appears to be very short. I was thinking maybe he could slot into 133 after RBY. I know there would be a gap there. Davis, I presume, will most likely fill that gap.

Or Steen.

Right now Davis is the best long term 133 prospect.

Steen is 5-5 in opens this year, all at 125. No bad losses, but no good wins and no bonus, and some of those losses need to become wins for him to be more than a spot starter at either weight. (He likely could start elsewhere, but this is the reality of being at PSU.)

It is just his first year, so plenty of time for him to make those adjustments.

Has he released a finalist list of schools he’s considering?

So, transfer 133 if RBY leaves until Davis is ready to roll?

That’s possible but I’ve heard RBY may wrestle for his final season which would be outstanding for him and our team. As Cael said we need to stay focused on the post season for now though. Lots of exciting wrestling coming up. This is where the rubber meets the road. It’s GO time now.

Perhaps, but also possible that we solve internally for a year with no fan expectations for that weight. Like we have done with other weights over the years.

If RBY moves on, the most likely 133s would be Evans and Meredith, maybe Shunk. Note, Meredith has SO eligibility but is in his 4th year.
