Alas, this will likely be the last match I get to watch from the terminal. It's a 50 minute flight, and I doubt they have WiFi. Not that I was all that concerned, but it's nice to see SVN doing well in his match.
Edit: With a slight interruption while I was boarding, I ended up being able to view everything thru the 165 match. The connection was broken during the 174 match. I didn't know the results of 174, 184, 197, and 285 until after I landed.

how many times I gotta sat strength means nothing Bucks are always well at least looking stronger than PSU guys I will take technique all day long!
No soup but what it's done is made a couple of technically better wrestlers battle to the very end.
Must be all the dead lifts they do every day.
Feel like the Ohio State kid was as upset with that locked hands call as anyone for not ending it right there.
He's also wrestling looser, and by this point you'd expect him to tighten up and improve on fundamentals. He's not good enough to turn defense to offense against podium-caliber guys. Could be due to him not expecting to wrestle this year, but probably not a lot of time to turn it around.

Yeowza, you could see that one coming from a mile away - BD's Neutral Defense is just not good... just gets out of position way too often. How many times did Mendez take him directly feet-to-back? BD fortunate to not get pinned there.
Even on the first takedown - an ankle pick by Mendez - Davis turned the wrong direction tying to spin and grab a leg or ankle to fight of the takedown..... he spun directly into Mendez and could have easily been taken to his back. His positional awareness in Neutral is just really poor and it shows against elite competition.

Nope, when it got over 9 seconds, he immediately went for the legs. He actually had that plan going in.

Mendez had twice as many takedowns against Penn State as Iowa had for the entire dual.

Chase works to a quadpod, but PJ breaks him back down & throws in an arm bar. Chase works to his feet & gets the escape, 6-2. Out of bounds & neutral restart. PJ has the tights on again. In retrospect, it was over as soon as the starting lineups came out.
lol. You ever wrestle up two weight classes against the # 1 guy in the country?
PJ Duke just put on a show and a half there. That ending was reiminiscent of Nolf, not settling for a tech, switching sides on the cradle attempts.
Does Duke get a takedown AND pin there? Or does he not get a takedown but the pin??? Someone help?
That’s PJ wrestling mean and nasty. He MUST do in every match. That’s Key. Stay Mean out there.
It was over as soon as we signed LL years ago.
