It is a fair question. The dick envy brigade shows up a lot on this board. Posts a pile of stupid threads. Lets see, Huskers living in the past. Who posts that? Iowa fans. But then, I grew up across the river from Iowa fans. Out would come the little flags, and the cute jerseys when Hayden was doing well. Then the next year they'd have a bad season and you'd never see those flags and jerseys. Quiet lot across that river when losing. Always a bunch of whiny fair weather fans.
Face it, we are more interesting losing 6 games than Iowa ever will be losing a couple.
As long as we have our glasses up, shall we toast Nebraska on losing 4 or more games for the 15th consecutive season?

And a misinformed one. 5-loss Ferentz would probably give his left arm to have 14 consecutive 4 loss seasons; then maybe his team would be able to claim a better overall record than Nebraska in that same time span.
How sad it must be for Iowa to know that, even in their “glory years”, they still can’t quite measure up to Nebraska. But for a program that only has 1 major bowl win in the last 60 years, I supposed that almost being relevant is about as good as it gets.
I am sure someone from east will be over shortly to let you know nothing prior to 2002 matters.
Well we couldn't get FCS N Iowa since you played them already. Must be rough when ISU is your toughest non-con game year in and year out. At least ISU is on the upswing. Iowa's non-con is ISU, MAC school, FCS school almost every single year.
you'd think with all that BTN money they'd at least venture out of state for a non conference game once in awhile.
They did take on North Dakota State a few years back...and we all know how that turned out.

Again, I find it more then a little funny that youre still here popping off after you lost today. The level of man obsession is huge with you guys. I, again, cant imagine being a grown man with that kind of sand filled vajayjay butthurt. Yet here you are, showing us all what its like.
Again with the history comparison. I don’t think any sane person would say Iowa has a better history than Nebraska. Yet, when we talk about having good recent seasons, Husker fans downgrade it by saying Iowa doesn’t have he history Nebraska does. That part certainly gets old. As someone who tries to have a good conversation about where the programs are currently, Husker fans always go back to what you just said and make it a reason Iowa isn’t better recently.
We get it. We all wish Iowa had the national title history and such, but Iowa’s history isn’t absolute trash like some claim. It’s just not on par with Nebraska’s history.
No question Iowa has been better than Nebraska the last 4 years counting this season so far, but Iowa has only won 2 Major or BCS or New Years 6 bowls of any significance in my life time..so you can quess my age..
Hey, I agree with you. Iowa isn’t exactly Indiana in this conference; it’s a respectable program. And if your fans had any type of respect for our program, then that respect would be shown in return.
The problem is that your fans are obsessed with an irrational hatred for Nebraska, when you were nothing to us before we joined the BIG. You never see Buckeye fans here kicking us where we’re down, or Wolverine fans, or Badger fans. No sign of bitter Gopher fans or Spartan fans spewing vitriol—not a single one. Nope—only IOWA fans are so insecure that they have to troll our board constantly. And that’s why your fan base has the reputation around the conference that it has, because let’s face it: we are far from the only ones who think that the entire Iowa fan base suffers from collective short man’s complex.
(And for the record, none of this is directed at you personally. While I realize that you rip the hell out of us on your own board, you’ve always been a good poster here and a decent guest in our house).
Well said. Totally agree with you. SWiowahawk has been respectful here and is welcome to post. It’s most of the rest that have soured Nebraska fan on Iowa posters here.
Fair point and I think I can pinpoint why, atleast from my point of view. Nebraska fans have always looked down on Iowa. Anytime Iowa has had a good stretch, ala 2002, 2003, 2004; it’s been laughed at simply because no national titles were won. We were told we were still not on Nebraska’s level and we really couldn’t prove it. Now that we play each other, it gets blown up.
Nebraska fans have looked down on the Big Ten those years as well. “Nebraska will own the Big Ten” was a motto when the change was being made. All this talk was being heard from Hawkeye fans and not fan bases you listed. So when Nebraska gets knocked down a notch, who do you think is just ready and waiting to let you know about it?
So when you guys say we are looking for attention, I suppose you have a case. The problem is, our football team can’t exactly back it up like Nebraska fans would expect. If that makes sense.
I roll my eyes and understand the hatred for trolls on here, but you can venture to our free board and see roles reversed. Message boards being out the worst in fan bases.
