Obvious conclusion here is that Iowa trained thru our dual last week …

🧠🧠🧠
Watching the way Iowa wrestled against Nebraska makes me think there are two explanations that are not mutually exclusive.

1. They knew they were not going to win against PSU so they did everything possible to keep the scores as close as possible.

2. After taking the worst beating in 60 years, TnT really got on everyone to wrestle more aggressively against Nebraska. It may have been driven by the fact that their jobs were in jeopardy.

Whatever the real explanation, I think anyone who watched the dual last night would agree that it was a different Iowa team than the one we saw a week ago.

The thing I find most ironic is how their attendance is down and their fans are posting how they’re giving up watching… in between their attacks at PSU fans for only paying attention since 2010.

Looked like the same kids to me, just an opponent with a completely different skill level.

In Iowa language, HR is short for our stupid people live here.

There’s definitely an element of #2. They wrestled like a team that was embarrassed by last weekend’s effort. There were 5 matches that were essentially 50-50: 125, 133, 149, 174, 184.

Iowa won all five, so credit to them for bringing it last night in the matches that mattered.

As ironic as their yelling that the opponent is stalling… in the last 30 seconds..,

…they are correct…. but seemingly oblivious to the fact that the opponent is protecting his narrow lead… that he has because THEIR guy was stalling the first 6 1/2 minutes!
