yet PSU fans still defend that little old man

McCreary informed police of Paterno's admission that paterno already knew (had prior notice that Sandusky had committed such acts). Which is consistent with deposition testimony of victims.
I live in PA and some of these people try to belittle and look down upon my school, wvu, for the hillbilly stereotypes, etc.
Yet they're sitting on probably the worst situation in college athletics let alone higher education.

I got banned from their site for simply sharing the truth, like you linked here. Pretty disgusting group of people.

Paterno was having losing records at PSU when this incident happened. I think 4 in 5 years. Paterno was trying to save his job, keep this quiet, and trying to save his image when this incident happened. To heck with the kids that monster got a hold of afterwards.

There's an incident 20 years earlier where a janitor saw him with a kid and reported it. It got buried! To me that's worse than Baylor, paying players or fixing grades at SMU, The U, or any ABC to XYZ University. These were kids.

I had a lifetime assistant college coach tell me when this story first broke there's no way that multiple coaches on that staff couldn't have known that Sandusky was a sicko. Coaches work too much together for that to stay a secret. Coaches hear everything on a staff.

The same coach also said UVA had to know or get tipped off about something about Sandusky too. UVA was set to hire Sandusky and at the last second, they go with Al Groh.

Agree. He was hosting kids in his hotel room before games. He was taking them to the locker room. When the one victim testified he told paterno directly, paterno said to him, "I've got a football season to worry about".
But but it's fake news for PSU paterno lovers.
I thought it was telling that the guy wouldn't retire. 83 or 84 and he refused to retire. Showed the enormity of his ego. And showed the culture there where he and the program could do whatever he/they wanted unchallenged.

Good point. People wondered why he was never hired or promoted above coordinator.
But, OTOH he had his set up in place and probably wouldn't have wanted to leave that.

Sandusky was sick. The PSU fans that continue to support Sandusky and Paterno are even sicker.

Joe knew as did just about everyone surrounding the program. Sandusky wasn't even really trying to hide it he knew nothing was going to happen to him. Remember this didn't come to light until he got caught in a different county, or else it would have never came out.

Sickest story and fan base in history. Far worse than anything at Baylor
