Pryce went to the dark side (Nebraska). I'm not going to wish him Ill will, but I don't really give a s*** how things go at Nebraska. Hope as a team they lose every one. We should be done with this thread now. He's not a Hawkeye.
I understand that rules can't be legally enforced anymore, for whatever reason, but it really bothers me that players are allowed to transfer from one school to another in the same conference.

Did you watch Big Ten team after team just expose him on defense?!? He was the worst defender (along with PMac) on the last two Iowa teams.
Yes, I watch every game.

There were worse a defenders than Brock.

Again, I saw Brock playing, as part of a dysfunctional defense, at Iowa.

Again, defense is completely a team thing at the college level. A dysfunctional team defense will often put its individuals in positions to fail. Newsflash...Iowa had those under Fran.

I also saw the defensive traits, in Brock, that coach Dixon sees to start him in the Big12.

Do you argue Brock to not have good feet, toughness, and intelligence? If not, you are basing everything on size. And again, that is very overrated

Let’s check on how he defends people in the Big 12. Newsflash, it won’t end well.

Stirtz is going to play 35-37 minutes a game every game. Possibly more in some tight games. He lead the country in minutes last year. Ben is going to ride him like a rented mule. Harding would have played 3-5 minutes a game at most and when you’re recruited for one system like Fran but then get a 100% different system like Mac why would he stay? He gave it his all for the hawks. Tough hard nosed kid but certainly undersized. Wish him the best at TCU.

Harding, tough kid, as much as I enjoyed watching him for the last 6 years and leading my high school to a state championship, then going to Iowa, in hindsight he's just not a Big Ten fit, just too many taller guards that took advantage of his height. He's at a better place at TCU and in the Big 12.

Yea. Can’t wait to see Harding tear up the likes of Houston, Arizona, BYU, Iowa State, Kansas and Texas Tech’s of the world in the Big 12.

Very nice game tonite in Nebraska win over Oklahoma. Pryce led the team with over 30 points and was efficient from both 3 and 2 point range.

For all those that said he sucked.

Brock Harding led TCU in scoring yesterday in a close loss to number 6 ranked Michigan.

For all those who said he sucked.
Harding was a turnover machine and definitely a streaky scorer.

Pryce imo will never be the player his brother was. If he turns out to be Nebraska's top scorer it just shows how bad Nebraska is.

Ok. But I will have to agree to disagree on Pryce. Much better finisher at the rim and has a quicker first step than Payton. Not as good a shooter just yet, but other intangibles make up for it.

Pryce is statistically a much better shooter than Payton. Payton was/is a chucker.
Agree to disagree. Peyton had significantly more attempts in his career, many of them late in the shot clock. Similar to Jordan Bohannan and Connor McCaffrey.

Pryce gets to the rim very well and his statistical shooting percentage benefits from a higher amount of rim bunnies.

Free throw percentage is always a predictor of shooting ability and Peyton was a phenomenal free throw shooter. 10 percentage points above his little brother to date.

Pryce will become a very good shooter I'm sure.

Connor got shots late in the shot clock because he was such a poor shooter and not guarded closely. Completely opposite of Peyton and Bohannon.

I'd hate guarding Rink Mast...he looks like a greased pig out there. did he jump in the pool before the game?

Using Connor as an example proves how little you know.

He always looks like the sort of player that is playing because he's tall and has been told all his life that he'll be a basketball player, not because he actually likes doing it. In my unqualified internet opinion.
He seems like a guy who bought into all the hype after his freshman season and went to his head. And from multiple reports it affected his work ethic (reports of him coming into last season not in the best shape). Flip side you have the garza’s of the world or Murray bros where whatever was said didn’t change work ethic except for maybe have them work harder.

Freeman now seeing what it’s like to have a coach that emphasizes defense and hold him accountable for lazy play. Fran let him get away with a lot. After watching ole miss game last night he would've struggled mightily playing for McCollum or been riding the pine. Flip side awesome seeing how Koch has adjusted and thriving playing for him. Postgame interview cool listening to McCollum talk about Koch’s improvement since last summer.

Win over #10 Florida. Definition of bad?

Brock Harding had a nice game as well. I believe we have some of your comments bookmarked.
Nothing great honestly. He was 6 of 16 from the field. Florida’s going to be unranked here soon. So basically like Iowa beating Ole Miss. Look up Bennett’s stats in that game. 🤷‍♂️

Since when was I comparing Brock Harding and Bennett Stirtz?
Right now, Harding backing up Stirtz at point with 2 additional years could be worse.
Water under the bridge.

19 points and 12 assists in 38 minutes against the #10 ranked team in the nation is hardly MEH. by the way.

The comparison is both teams just beat middle of the road SEC teams at the moment. Florida is going to get eaten alive by Duke and Uconn in the upcoming weeks if their guards don’t figure something out.

Lots of “red ***” and angst over players that have decided to move on, in my humble opinion.
What you are bitchin’ about isn’t going to be changing much in the near future, I don’t think. Every year is a new team with a new group of players. Kids are going to get their cash, if they aren’t playing/happy in their current situation, they will be moving on. “poaching” is the new recruiting and folks are gonna get paid. A player you don’t like who plays for you this year may change schools and absolutely tear you a new butt a year or two down the line.

I keep saying it, but Fran was able to overachieve with less.

He also accepted and basically encouraged LESS from his players... on one half of the court.

There's a reason that defense and rebounding sucked.... Its because Fran accepted sh*t on that end of the court.

You let a freshman like Freeman "get away" with bad effort on defense, because he could score.... Welp ... Don't be surprised that his defense and fundamentals are SH*T.
