Of course. So why do you act like it's just an evil republican thing?
I never said that. It's beyond dispute that both parties have engaged in gerrymandering. But the current round of it was clearly set off by Trump, and it was done in the middle of the current ten year census period. That is novel. It is also beyond dispute that every single Republican voted against federal legislation to address gerrymandering nationwide. If any good comes out of the current orgy of redistricting, I hope it is bipartisan federal legislation addressing the issue comprehensively.

Dear Gavin Newsom,

I hate to rain on your parade but your celebration over the passage of Prop 50 will need to wait a few days.

You have been sued. Your unconstitutional racial gerrymandering is now heading to a federal three-judge panel and maybe to the SCOTUS to determining if your use of race in drawing congressional districts should be enjoined.

We are asking the court to require the old maps to be in effect while we litigation your unconstitutional actions.

I agree that the current round was set off by Texas but efforts in Kansas and Ohio got shot down. I don't know about federal efforts to stop gerrymandering but I do know that republican Kevin Kiley submitted a bill that would prohibit mid decade changes but it got shot down. In all of these bills the devil is in the details so I don't think it's as easy as saying one party wants it and the other party doesn't. What's in the details?

P.S. NY passed a law to create an independent committee to created districts. They reached this compromise committee because although NY has long been a blue state democrats never had a supermajority to get things 100% their way. As soon as they got a 67% majority they unilaterally revoked the law that established the independent commission. The only thing that's kept them even marginally honest has been the courts.

California used mail-in ballots from canceled/removed voters to rig Prop 50.

Eight days after evidence was given to the U.S. Department of Justice and the White House, Trump's administration announced California was under legal and criminal review.

Justice is coming for California. Thank you @POTUS

Serious question, has anything newsome wanted passed ever been voted down. When you have loose election and voter laws like they do, why do we even care what they’re doing? It’s all rigged. I saw a video yesterday of “voters” in Santa Clara celebrating a 9.5% sales tax increase like they’d all been awarded free healthcare and groceries for life. That state and leaders are dopey.

California used mail-in ballots of ineligible voters to rig prop 50.

8 days after evidence was submitted to the U.S Department of Justice –– the Whitehouse confirmed California is under federal investigation.

"There exists clear and independently actionable evidence supporting–– The magnitude, statistical impossibility, and lack of reactivation evidence justify a full-scale federal investigation and, where appropriate, indictment."

Thank you @POTUS
