Tthroughout the season I kept seeing 71st record with 2 losses. To the best of my knowledge they only lost the season opener to Terry Sanford but never lost again. Do they have one or two losses?

They had to forfeit their Week 2 victory over Cape Fear (22-8).

Had a player that lived out of district but he went to school and attended classes everyday
Im wondering if it was the big defensive lineman that transfered in from Westover Latiker? He transfered in very late right before the season started. But the district lines have changed many times over the years between 71st and Westover more times than I can remember.

The method during this four year alignment being used is the top 48 teams based on RPI are include in the playoffs. In the past four year period, teams were assigned to the east or west and it stayed that way over the four year period. The difference is the new method takes the best 48 teams (or 24 in 8A) across the state and therefore you cannot know where the dividing line is until the final RPI comes out. Once you know the top 48 (or 24), then they are placed in the east or west based on the longitude of the school.

That is correct. RPI's haven't changed in the last 24+ hours. What Simmons had in his post is probably 99% correct (depending on opt outs)
