Thanks Brian .

A bunch of 2-win and 3-win teams make the cut. That can't be good for anybody involved.

Brian,

Why do you not have West Stanley? Your reason may be right just I don’t see them listed and they would be the 24th Western Team sending Central Davidson back East and knocking First Flight out. Just wondering?

Edit: I’m assuming this was due to timing of when your projection was posted.

I now have a projected playoff bracket on my web site -

This is a projected based on current RPI's. I will be checking again tomorrow and Sunday morning before the real brackets come out to see if anything with RPI changes.

And unlike HSOT, my bracket is free to view! :)
Central Davidson has moved back to the East Bracket as of this morning due to First Flight falling out. Which put West Stanly back in the West.

I'm considering going up to Waynesville to see Tuscola and E. Burke play. Can anyone advise on the parking situation at the stadium? It seems limited when you look on the satellite imagery on google.

Plenty of parking at Tuscola. Just get there early. Put 603 Brown Ave, Waynesville N.C. in your gps and thank me later! You will have to pay to park but it’s right beside the stadium. Have a great time. Beautiful view of the mountains if you get on Tuscola side.

I go to a lot of high school games to experience the atmosphere at other places. Usually on our bye week. I always pull up the stadium in google earth and do street view in front of the entrance. That address will put you at the entrance to turn in. I’d get there by 5-5:30. View is great from the top row of the Tuscola grandstand .
You can also do 159 Ridgewood Dr and park behind the Tuscola grandstand. Someone that has parked there would have to answer if it’s vip parking or just paid parking to anyone. I’ve never parked there. But here is a view as you drive in.IMG_3770.png

Lincolnton is a very scary 8 seed for Mountain Heritage
MH and Lincolnton have a bit of a history in the playoffs. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe one year MH administration refused to allow the Wolves bell on to the track. Something about protecting the integrity of the track. The bell was ringing in the parking lot. I was at one of the playoff games with MH and was glad to be surrounded by so many warm bodies in the visitors stand.

Kyleheel30, thanks for saying something about Lincolnton. Hope we make it to Mountain Heritage…Saw the Cougars play Hendersonville on NFHS, and both teams looked really formidable. Hendersonville has the offensive weapons and would match up well with us, but it looked like Mountain Heritage was a little too physical for them. Should these brackets hold up, after the bye week, for as long as we can stay in it, things are going to be tough for us.

LHSfaninVA, that was 2009, Lincolnton went up to MH…Think they beat us 27-21…They were big and very physical. Their ace running back was Casey Randolph, seems like his number was either 19 or 9. They built up a lead on us. We came back some in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. The Cougars would make it all the way to the title game…only other game to my memory besides 2009 was 2005, 2010 and 2015, and those were in Lincolnton…Could have missed something somewhere-going off memory…Seems like I recall something about the bell, but I’m thinking Coach Brown wouldn’t let us bring it to Maiden, either. The bell is a little controversial, but I know you know.

*Postscript: Should we get to play the Cougars, this year, and if my numbers of past games are correct, it will be three times out of five we have played them in a year that has a five in it, and four times out of five we have played them in a year that is an odd number.

Normally sir I thoroughly enjoy your well thought out, not to mention grammatically correct which is not always plentiful around these parts, posts…
Unfortunately I read this one sorta early this Sunday morning…
Huh?
I’m going to have to ask that you translate for those of us who can’t grasp this obviously Klingon, six degrees of Kevin Bacon, gibberish please…
😂😂😂😂

Postscript of my own: Why the heck were you up at quarter to two on a Sunday morning?
Prostate? (I get that of course)
Or literally setting clocks back when government officially told you? (Don’t get that)
😂😂😂

TheKidd#12, my friend, it’s always good to hear from you. About being up late, it was a combination of things. The ending of the final game of the World Series, and the football brackets, mostly.
Another thing, if you noticed the other party in the conversation, LHSfaninVa. He is from Lincolnton, and lives across the river from Washington, DC. Was just wondering why he was up late, as he is usually on here a little earlier, and if he might have been over in town to some high dollar Georgetown restaurant, or if he was possibly in another time zone because of his work requiring a lot of travel, and I’m not even sure what he does, but I got an idea of what it is…I sure hope this isn’t dementia, but if it is, it’s not painful.

Watched ending of WS myself. Great series and I hated to see a loser…

As to the dementia reference…
Glad it’s not painful…
Top of the ladder moments are occurring more often for me as well…
You know when you get up there and have no idea why you’re up there?

I actually watched until the game was tied 4 up and ended the first nine innings.
Turned it off and went to sleep.
Why??????
age 74, first of all.
second knew that one run would decide it.
third I could see it at least 40 plus times this morning on ESPN.
Age and the realization that whoever wins would not change my life since it was not going to be the Yankees.
