Can someone try to provide the current depth chart specifically the DLine now with the Lewis addition. Compare it to last season under trAsh.

This will be interesting to see..here's a hint though, the D-line depth is getting deeper and deeper. It's been pretty unbelievable how much beef Greg has added to this team in such a short amount of time.

People can guess, but until the guys start practicing and we know who will be eligible to play, that is all it would be.

Outside of Dwumfour, Tverdov and probably Onyechi it's hard to figure out who is where on the depth chart due to no spring practice.

Let’s be men.

Turner really came on late last year. He was in the backfield a lot. Duggan seems to be a guy who can step up this year. Jutwreten was also coming along and Tverdov seems to be the best of those returning. Oneychi will be in the rotation as well. Schiano really added the depth that even he never had his first time here. In 2006 we played 6-7 DL. I’m excited to see what the new guys bring to the table. On paper we are more talented and much deeper than we have ever been on the DL.

Just a shot in the dark:

NT - Burke / Turner / Duggan in no order
3T - Dwumfour / Barrow / Bordner / Baldwin
SDE - Tverdov / Jutwreten / Thomas
WDE - Onyechi / Mason / Anderson

True Freshmen will get some shots to play but unlikely to be on 2 deep when the season starts.

Yes ..and the uncertainty if the season will be played at all.
The Transfer inbound Seniors might not stick around if there is no season. Fluid situation.

If there's no season I expect Dwumfour, White, Fogg, O3, Korsak and Taylor to all head to the NFL. You could even see Pacheco lean that way. Guys like Tre Avery or Bo Melton could skip out as well hoping for good pro day performances.

That looks like a pretty good depth chart to me. Much better than we have seen in many years. I agree Turner and Duggan played well last year and now that they have had time to mature I expect them to be very disruptive.

Lots of speed and athleticism on the outside as well. Tverdov could be a killer this year, will be interesting to see who else steps up.

I may force myself to re-watch some 2019 games, which I recorded, just to watch for Duggan. Did he stand out in any games?

I wouldn't do that if I were you. 2020 has been tough enough already. Ha.

I don't remember specifics but the DL really got better as the season progressed and looked pretty good the last few games. They were slowing down the run and getting pressure up the middle.

We all know the DL/OL need time to develop, but I think its way more important for the less heavily recruited guys. They need time to develop their strength.

That probably would be ill advised to leave early...I doubt other than White and Korsak none of them have proved anything on the college level yet... NFL teams are not going to draft them and the year would be good for all of them...What have they statistically accomplished at Rutgers up to this point including Trey and Bo ???

I'm a glutton for punishment. LOL. I see in the BC game he had the most tackles, so I am going to torture myself with that one. And that was an early game. I'll flip on the Liberty game to cheer myself up too.

I wanted to rewatch BC. Watching live I thought we were in a good position to win that game but 2 drives (maybe in a row) we converted 3rd down plays passing the ball and both were called back. In both cases we would have been at least in FG range I think but had to punt instead. Game over.

Edit - just remembered we fumbled inside out own 10 in first half giving up 7 pts.

That was Blackshear fumbling on our own 10 yard line in the 2nd Qtr.
Easy 7 points given to BC.

Watch BC then watch the UM game and you will see two different QBs due to the pressure the latter was able to generate.

I didn’t put any of the True Freshman on my list but I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays a whole lot this year.

I also forgot about the DT transfer from MN. The 247 site did a nice write up on the amazing job by Schiano and staff.11 D lineman added since he took over. Amazing.

Minny DL transfer Mayan Ahanotu would need a waiver like Lewis to play this season (if one ). RU's DL goes from a weakness to a team strength with legit B1G talent and depth thanks to transfers!

If we compare the player potential , size improvement and the biggest plus ...SPEED... then yes this D is looking to be much better... IF we play?

Do not underestimate the staff which IMHO is much better at least on paper. A great mix of young and older guys who have a great D minded CEO.

There is always energy, excitement, and enthusiasm as a new season approaches. But this time, and it really hasn’t been like this for several years, there is more talent available to justify the anticipation. Between the talent improvement on the field and the talent improvement on the coaching staff there is reason to believe RU is on the road to recovery. Let’s hope these guys get the chance to play a season and start the turnaround.

Yeh I'm getting pretty stoked...but also ready for a letdown re: no season. It's a Rutgers thing.

If there is no CFB this year, it could be the end of CFB as we know it.
There will be move for kids to go from HS to some farm system like baseball.
I think the farm system would do well.

You may be right but I hope you are wrong. Personally, I wouldn't watch a farm football system. I like college football the way it is.

The authorities need to start figuring out how to make things work instead of just shutting everything down.
