Here's my projected Class D-1 playoff bracket assuming the team with the better record wins the remaining games. I've made some tweaks to my spreadsheet so if you see anything I messed up please let me know.

EAST BRACKET

You may wanna check teams that have a midcycle exemption. If playoffs started today for example, Plainview would be in and looking ahead at their schedule they would probably be 4-4 or 3-5.

Yep, you're right. I forgot to update that list from last year.

Would love to see them just go to 16 teams like everyone else. Maybe with all the schools moving to six man next year they'll do that.

Only one 5-3 team would make the playoffs at 16 teams (under the current point system). Two 6-2 teams would be left out - Hartington-Newcastle and Elm Creek. But under the altered point system for a nine-game schedule, that would likely change that slightly.

Might want to look at bracket again, Med Valley, Hemmingford, and Burwell probably won't be in the East Bracket. Pender GACC Hartington and Johnson Brock probably won't be in the West.

how the hell does a 1 or 2 win team make the playoffs. i'd be embarrassed if I was playing or coaching that team.

Wow. That's not good work on my part. Missed a step in getting the formula to omit the correct schools.

I edited the OP (again). Hopefully the third time is the charm.
