Anybody know what tech company it is? Sounds like there is an NDA in place right now. But a $1billion investment sounds interesting. Not to mention but an article I read earlier sounded like and additional billion dollars would be invested in each of Clay and Lowndes counties as well.

out on hwy 389. Starkville is using the new Research Park site off of 25 & 12 as the new baseball field site. There is well over $1M already put into that site that they are just throwing away. Idiots there have NO CLUE what they are doing... and never have. and the county folks are having to pay for it too... better start worrying about the damn infrastructure in the town and city roads before they waste money on something else... Horrible leadership...

Overly negative spin article. I agree that economic developers tend to embellish, but let's not get too carried away. These are good things to have in the area.

Which is absolutely huge. Dont get me wrong, the Continental/Yokahoma type projects are good, but having something that has 100-150 jobs that pays six digits is a game changer.

The chances of landing something like this are extremely high because the local developers built the proposal on the strength of MSU's computing and being in the TVA footprint.

Have no problem with JM.... Don't think Starkville & Oct. county should be paying for other projects in nearby counties. This city or county isn't getting 2% of what they are putting in those projects...

JM wasn't a fan of the past MDA Director... But then no one was except the Director himself...

This State is going to struggle without Cochran. Our 2 new Senators are bad... Especially CH Smith. During the impeachment... None of her collegues would speak with her on the floor.. She was put up for that job by the WORST Governor this State has seen in Decades... So don't be expecting huge employment projects to be heading to this State... Just not players at this point. And the Prison crap left by the last IDIOT, is not helping our marketing effort AT ALL...
